New cat 🐈

Starting to think he is a dog lol he won't leave my side which I love for real noon today he arrived and I thought he hated me. Then I took nap meesegged old owner sure enough he came out. Then I pet him and now he is velcro lol

Cats 'claw' when they are comfortable. It means he is happy.
It may subside after a while. I had a cat for 14years! Charlie cat, bit of a rebel, used to steal chicken wings from the Chinese chip shop
down the road from where I lived in the UK. ;)

Man his urine is smelly lol but I'm using dollar tree litter but only first filling next will be tidy cat cljmpong

Don't cheap out on the litter! We use Arm & Hammer, and it does pretty well. Don't fall for that "extra light" nonsense, either. The heavy stuff is heavy because it has clay in it, which absorbs moisture and makes scooping easier.

De-clawing is getting to be a hot topic. There's evidence that claws are cats' equivalent of fingernails, and some people will tell you it's inhumane. I'm not here to offer my opinion either way on the topic, but it may be something you want to consider.

On the other hand, not every cat is going to sit there and let you clip it's claws.

If you can get a scratching post, and your new companion is willing to use it, that's an alternative.

He is a hide and seek champion 🏆 lol if I leave home he hides .I forgot what his last owner called him so I'll change name

How long will it take till he understands he lives here? He will be inside cat but incase he escaped I want him to come home he is laying on couch with me now sleeping I think lol
Cats will figure out where "home" is after realizing that this is where they get regular meals and affection. Give it a little bit of time

Bless you for taking that cat in. We rescued three cats when one of our neighbors moved and left their cats to fend for themselves. I never had cats before. These cats turned out to be fantastic. They are very loving creatures that appreciate us saving them. Two of them have since passed away, but we still have the littlest one. She follows me everywhere. This is her in her bed.

I swear I think he just growled dog next door was barking at something velcro looked up and sounded as if he growled
Funny you say that. I have a dog that thinks it's a cat. She is finicky, slinks around and hides behind things and when she isn't barking, she squeaks. She loves to sit on laps also.
I have four. 2 Maltese, a Dachshund and a mut.

He hides again when I leave he don't like me leaving but I only had him 30 hours
