I have only had two issues with 2 different Olight lights. Both were replaced quickly.
But that said the last one got me to thinking maybe a better choice for a “keychain” light is in order. So i’m changing it up for now.

Out for now or at least limited use is the Imini ultra and in is the Maratac chickpea. I don’t use them on my keychain but dangle them off my front belt loop with a mini S-carabiner.
My chickpea has the extension tube to accommodate the 10440 battery.

This is kinda how I'm feeling about my I3E Keychain lights. I used to get them during their "only pay shipping" promotions. However, every now and then my primary one will go through a period of a few hours to a few minuteswhere it will go from working, to simply dead and then back to working again without any clear cause.

So I'm on the hunt for a new Keychain light and admittedly grateful for an excuse to get one with higher performance or better color rendering.

I'm just not sure what's actually gonna prove to be bomb proof anymore.

I have the i3e lights on every keychain i own and gifted 5-6 to all my family members. Never had a single problem with them. Work every time i need them.
The Chickpea i am switching to has low-med-high plus moonlight and turbo modes and 610 lumens on turbo. Compared to single mode and 80 total lumens it a no brainer. Sometimes i’m a little slow to see the light.
Will i use the Olight imini’s i have? Sure but not going to be my #1 anytime soon. Seems the gimic for me has worn off.

I’ve had a couple of I3 EOS as keychain lights, the last one stopped working after about 2 or 3 years. I got a I3R as a replacement but sent it straight back as I was not impressed with the quality.
This was about the same time that my 5 year old S2A Baton packed up after inserting the batteries the wrong way round.

It was at this point I decided to ‘sideline’ Olight. I did keep checking their website, but got annoyed with all their gimmicks like golden coins, countdown timers, and spinning prize wheels.

On my keychain now I have a Lumintop EDC01, and wouldn’t go back to an I3 EOS.

Still love and carry my ArkPro lights most of the time. Built for every situation i need a light for in my everyday life. The OClip Pro is my go to clip on the shirt collar navigate my dark house at night light so not down on Olight completely just the Imini Ultra isn’t my favorite anymore. And most of the e3 eos lights were free. I like that they send you a Birthday gift, or a gift light for being a good customer.
Sure i have other brands i like and use as the old adage goes “variety is the spice of life”.

I know that light from County Comm is downright tiny. But I never liked that you have to carry an extra (charging) head for it, if you want to charge up the light.

Yes that’s very true. I use it as a back up to an ArkPro, Warrior, Manker, Acebeam, Martac or Convoy. With the extension tube and a 10440 battery at least charging is fewer and far between. Just can’t get over 600 lumens out of such a tiny light. I’ve gone out with my dogs without my coat that has my bigger flash light and used the Chickpea that’s clipped to my belt loop and it’s amazing how powerful this thing is. Good throw and bright enough to reach out enough to see my dog when she goes farther out to do her business.

I have a Nitecore Tiki GITD on my key ring and 3 x Photon lights. I never actually use the Tiki it’s just for backup. My go to in my pocket is the Fenix E03R v2. I really do like this light but my only request to Fenix was that they allow the red or green glow ring to be a permanent on feature. As it stands the ring pulses. If it didn’t pulse and stayed on it would serve as a very long run time emergency lighting instrument albeit probably half a lumen but from what I see that could work. My wife just got a Nitecore Tini3 which from initial looks seems ok. Like the choice of warm white, neutral or cool white as you select through. Just having the buttons close together means accidental activation of the turbo button which ain’t great when you’re half asleep.

My son bought me a Sofirn ST-10 their version of an Oclip light for my birthday i will be celebrating belatedly tomorrow as weather including an awful ice storm kept us all from getting together. I enjoyed the YouTube video reviews and i liked the whole way it is setup.
Really gonna like the brighter red option.

It’s certainly a very interesting design. Not particularly pretty but two clip options the 1000lm main light and brighter red not to mention battery removable capability and AA option if needed. Just missing a laser and UV lol
