Progress on April's Batch

Hah, that's funny!

Thanks for the kind words guys! There was quite a bit more effort involved in making these compared to the titanium, hence the delay.

The normal clips didn't look quite right on these, so I had them polished. I wasn't sure about that move, but they turned out really nice.

good move. the Mac's Dam (full) I have is polished, and I ended up putting an etched McGizmo clip on it that was anodized yellow in the etches, blue on the rest, then blue mostly polished off, but the etching has almost a glow too it from the yellow, and the polishing just fits perfectly with the polishing on the light itself.

I really like what I'm seeing, so order placed! Good luck everyone, Zandar

Those are just spectacular! Destined to become a classic grail for sure.......

Those are gorgeous, even nicer than Mac's Damascus lights in my opinion. I wish more were available to buy without having to depend on a lottery. :)

I agree with you, at the time of the lottery I had no funds so could not join. Hope he Changes his mind and offers more. The more members who want one, perhaps the cheaper He could offer them. $1000 is a big jump from the Alum or to versions price.

I was surprised by the number of people that signed up for the lottery.

I will make more but I'm not sure when. And if anything the price will be going up.

Quite the heirlooms you got there Jeff! The contrast on these is stunning, and with clean lines quite the classy light.

Looking forward to the titanium batch myself.

Thanks for posting that great photo. These are truly fantastic looking lights. Maybe l'll have more luck next time.

Man I got into your lights about 1 month to late for the Dammy lottery but I did just land my first custom which is a fully upgraded Copper TinyDC so I can't complain about that.

What's the next lights being released and any hint of time frame? I've been dieing for a Zirconium TinyDC :)... Keep up the great work and now that on finally on the forums and not just FB maybe I'll see more. I just received my first custom light which like I said is one of your copper TinyDC 's and live it but I just got it yesterday and I'm ready for more and any material will do even though something like Zirc or even Brass... Anything coming down the pipe end of may or June?

Thank you so much

I've been having some issues with the new lathe, and it's halted any kind of progress. Right now, little pieces of the lathe are spread across the floor of my shop. :-(
With the help from a local machine repair place, I think we've found the culprit to be a bad rotary encoder on the turret. The replacement part from the manufacturer was going to take 2 to 4 weeks shipping from Korea, which was no bueno. I found one stateside and hopefully it'll be here next week. Cross your fingers.

I've been playing around with some AAA / 10440 ideas that I'll post on another thread.

The busted lathe is holding up any kind of progress on the Ti batch I'm in the middle of. I sure hope it's fixed soon. :-/

I made a few black oxide lights that I'm frequently asked about, so that's probably going to be the next special metal.
