there is also 5W version coming out we may have in a few weeks. I got these scans from a user.

I guess a 5 watt 2 x 123 version of the QIII would have to be "QIII's Dad!" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif (I assume that's what we're talking about here since it has the same Model No. TM-301X...I don't see any reference on the package to it being a 2-stage switch).
Sounds cool...Any idea yet of a general pricepoint?
BTW- It's been about two months since I bought my QIII from you, and I couldn't be more pleased (and I still very much recall that Advancemart's quick service was quite impressive!). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Somewhere around $80, I would imagine. Its still all up in the air on what, I will get and when. It looks like after Christmas sometime. I'm not even sure the 5W will be the first in, more likley they will be the 3Ws. I'm most interested in seeing the 3 x 3W myself. This will cost maybe around $110.

I like the warning on the back. "Do not look into the led for more than a few seconds" Heh, I wouldn't look at it for any amount of time!

I ordered one of these lights, but would like to remove the resistor. How much brighter would this make the light, how much runtime would be sacrificed, and is it possible to damage the luxeon by driving it wide open?

Thought I'd post a side by side picture of the Q3 and the X33 for ya's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just saw a 5W for sale on eBay.
Oh, and so as not to mislead anyone, the Q3 battery is almost dead. Maybe even moon mode. It is about the same brightness as the X33 in low mode. They are much more similar with fresh batteries but the X33 easily has more output.

I just received a “TM-301X-3” from http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16037&item=5168609677&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW.
It looks like Q-III’s taller relative and the twin of OMBU X-33; although, Advancedmart indicates that the OMBU has a different reflector, beam and electronics.
Its high beam has same nice white quality as my Q-III but slightly brighter. Landed at my doorstep for $44.00, it’s a good value.
