I use S1 in close-quarters only, so I never had in my mind to require any throw from it. For open spaces I use TN12 and MH20.
I got the S1 bead-blasted Ti yesterday and I love it! It's my first CR123 light and my first Olight. Surprisingly I think I like it better than my Zebralights.
Just curious.. What Zebralights do you have? I still like the UI and tint of my Zebralight, but I love my S1 a lot too. Almost tempted to pick up one of the neutral white S1...

Per the brochure that Olight includes with the S1, they claim 600 hours on .5 lumens.

They tested it out on RC123A batteries lol. What would the difference be between that and a CR123A? In any case, it still seems very exagerrated :( That's where I got my information from...maybe you guys can verify this?
Please remember that is Olight is using FL1 as the testing standard that the light is allowed to run down to 1/10th of the original out put and still claim the time listed. Also, RCR123A batteries don't have the same capacity as for CR123 batteries.

Various RCR123/16340 batteries claim 650-700 mAH other than one Efest that claims to having 850mAH.
Hmm. What would the difference in time on moonlight be between the RC123 and CR123? I can't imagine that the RC123 would be less than half the time, even then; which is what those guys in that thread are finding.
