If you needed to use a logic probe to watch a serial bus or other such stuff, then I think it might be a good value. It really depends on what functions you need, whether you need a really small portable scope, etc.
I've known people who have used the Pico scope usb type scopes, and they were happy with them. Of course, that was 5 years ago or so, before you could get a decent scope for under $1k.
FWIW, I'm using an old 100MHz Tektronix dual channel analog scope. Good enough for now, but I can see the day when I might want something a bit fancier... especially when it would only cost $500 or so.
