I've kept a L2N in my car for a couple years. Haven't used it at all in that time. I just tried it today and it doesn't turn on. I'm in Canada so we get some very cold winters and warm summers.
I swapped the battery and still no luck. Will try swapping out the drop in.

Curious if anyone has any thoughts or comments.

It may be the switch. Remove the tail cap and use a piece of wire to make contact between the battery negative and the body.

Well it was the dropin.

Oh well I was never really fond of the HML of the solarforce dropins.

Maybe a malkoff next?

Drop ins are the only real weakness I've seen with Solarforce. I've had good luck with a couple, but I've had a couple die and a couple function intermittently. I've also had some pretty wonky beam patterns from them. Customlites.com has some excellent P60 drop ins too, and Mtn. Electronics' basic P60 is also very good, and under $17 USD (I have 3 of their Nichia drop ins, and I'm VERY pleased with them after about 6 months of use).

Sportac may well be worth a look, for me sits between solarforce and malkoff.
