Surefire M2 M3-style

While I was thinking about getting a M3 head + Leef C/M adaptor to put it on a C2/M2/L5 body (I already scrapped the idea in the meantime) I modified the picture of a stock M3 to a 2 cell light. I guess it is still a tad too long to have the proper length for a two cell light but I´d say you´ll get the idea anyway.

I have to say I´d like the M2 much better if it would basicly be a 2-cell M3:

I can’t view the picture but I have an idea of what it looks like.

I’ve had the same idea.To some members who may not understand the concept it’s quit simple. Shorten the M3 body to accept 2 primary 123’s or one 16650/18650 battery. I discussed this with a friend,who is a machinist, and he told me it was feasible.

It appears the base of the L5 head was used as an adaptor to connect the Z46 head to the M2 body.

I believe you are correct, I’d love to find another without sacrificing a good head… maybe someone has one?

I have two L5’s. If I could remove the lower portion of the head without damaging any other part, I’d try it.

It would be a cool lego.

I just checked the bay and found 5 L5’s ranging in price from 157.00 to 399.00.

None are the improved A version.

It would be cool if Mark at Lumens Factory would consider making this version of the C to M adapter.

I’d reached out to him and he said that the C2M really wasn’t selling well and it would probably be disco’d… I asked about a non finned C2M… I do think someone used to offer one but he said it wasn’t him.

I did have a L5 head without the adaptor on a LU10… it ran on a single primary! Was good for real low illumination, prefect for getting up in the middle of the night and not tripping over a cat.
