I like some pop musicians. They can be catchy in a ...bubblegum sort of way.
Being a musician, I can appreciate authentic attempts at expression. I don't always listen more than once or twice, but I respect the efforts.
There were 'virtual rap' rock songs before rap was a thing. The original "Walk This Way" had some rappy (I'm coining a new word because I can) lyrics.
But most of the modern music in general is weak, shallow, 'industry generated' :poop:

I have not watched the Grammys, Oscars, or Golden Globes in 20 years as they are filled with egotistical pompous morons who think their opinions on current events, social, and political issues are important. They are not, and the value of good entertainment has zero to do with any irrelevant awards handed out like kindergarten gold stars.
Taylor Swift was nominated for 6 of those things. She won.... none!
Didn't stop her from dancing, celebrating, hanging out with the winners, giving up her seat to another nominee. She just went there and had fun. Had an awesome time. Just a class act.
