What do you guys think about 2017 ford fusion 2.7l ecoboost turbo chArged? 325 hp. 380 lb.ft torque. AWD. thanks
Engine is fairly new, and really tuned up. I would be nervous with it past 100k miles, but then again, I'd never keep it that long.
Performance would be excellent. A real sleeper. 0 to 60 in under 5.5s.
Having owned several turbo ed cars, the thing to remember is that you can't have the mpg and the performance both. Keep the rms low and the mpg up, or enjoy the mid and upper rpm range and forget about economy. Most people don't get the expected sticker mpg driving "normally". And then act shocked by it.
Awd is awesome for daily driving and bad weather both.
That engine is the same as in the F150 that Vinh just bought so maybe he can comment more about it...

I just logged on to see whats up with the loungers and damn, all hell's breakin loose! I backed up a couple pages to try to figure it out and it still makes no sense. Wimmer has split personalities? Are you two a couple? I'm not judging, just trying to make sense of it all. Ever since my car accident I tend to get confused sometimes, but I am really lost. I need simplicity; lumens, lux & throw. This is what I understand now. How about those Cubs!
We are brothers from another mother ;) lumens lux and all..

thank you.. we have nothing but toyota/honda. Lol., its getting boring. want to try something new.. ford, chevy.. so on..

MADD, that purple is out of this world and pictures don't do it justice. It's a ZTN colorshift paint that's used on cars with a clear gloss Cerakote over it to make it durable. It shifts from gold to purple depending on the angle you look at it! I only know cause I got a gun in that color.

There is nothing else like it.

Larry, I don't care if you already have 5 x65vn's. This one is a must own 1 of a kind! Lol.

Sold in........3, 2........

besides, you can sell me one of you plain Jane ones, those old things are yesterdays news! Lol

It was between the white, the bronze and the ZTN, and for the first I went with white. I do like the ZTN, but I may want it on a smaller light--it is kind of a lot. You don't need to turn it on to get attention. :sssh:

I'm going to see just how good the grip is compared to anodizing--that's one of the things that has me a bit concerned. My Cerakote handguns aren't a problem because of heavy stippling on the front and backstrap and good grips, but I'm not sure with the flashlight--heavy anodizing is hard to beat.

I just skimmed though Tab665's and Wimmer's posts...All I can say is OG and Wimmer is not the same person. I would know because I consult them on different type of lights (They have different tastes) and I do ship to different addresses. Sarcastic or not I was accused before that I made multiple accounts to praise my own products too...At first it bugged me but now that I have answered thousands of emails and fulfilled thousands of orders nothing bothers me long anymore. Just kinda too busy to care. The only thing I care about is constructive negative feedbacks :-)

Cheers!

Oh by the way I think quoting PMs is against CPF rules so lets not do that. Thanks!

Nice! If that's the case. You may wanna consider the metallic Cerakote colors.

Burnt bronze, tungsten, blue titanium, as they have a little more "grit" or rougher feel and flat colors seem smoother.

iMO neither is slick though so I wouldn't worry about grip either way.

To be honest, i will never get a ceroke lights.. look like a toy and expensive.. not mean to disrespect.. there are ceroke lovers out there.

It's probably one of the better hybrids from a performance standpoint if you don't care about battery life. That's my only problem with hybrids. My wife got a couple of Camry hybrids (probably not as good as the Fusion) and really liked them, but now that she has an XFR and quit worrying about mileage I doubt that she'll go back. I was just worried about holding either of her Camrys long enough for the battery to get tired, because I suspect at that point it's either junk or somewhere between $5 and $10K battery replacement.

Cant argue with expensive. It is sure is. I used to not like Cerakote too but now I am a fan. And its definitely not because I am selling it.

Dont knock it until you tried it!!! And...... yeah, they are toys! Just big boy toys But so are guns and knives in my eyes! Lol

edit: gotta agree tho. It's not for everyone. In the gun world. Guys who like glocks. Function first and foremost and it's a tool to do a job and that's it, it's not for them.

Then there are guys who display them, polish them and like to take pictures of them. Those are the guys who like it. Haha

Thanks vinh. Tab was messing with wimmer over a comment he made. I tried to explain to him that wimmer and I joke with each other. Thank you for writing this. We are all one big V54 family and everything has been resolved.

No more jokes from me though. I gotta be straight serious from now on..... I'm scared bulbmogul might come after me next. I'm locking my doors tonight. ;p

As mentioned check with vinh when time, i know he like his but right now maybe not too much. He is having an issue and at Ford.

My only advice as i dont know too much on your side and motors, would be a good dealership you can trust and a good warranty to boot. If not brand new(either new and used can have issues) make sure any known issues have proof they have been dealt with(recalls etc etc)...... Cant add much, just the obvious really and research it pretty hard like a v54 light. Take time, search a few forums for info as well.............

Personally, I couldn't care less if you ALL were the same person. This is all interesting and fun to me.

The 2.7L Ecoboost engine is a BEAST! Makes my truck faster than most if not all V8 trucks. I love this engine! Mine engine however has by cylinder heads at 5000 miles....So...Would I buy another 2.7L? No! I wish I would haev gotten the 5.0 V8 for better sounds and more reliability...IN your case the Fusion does not come in 5.0 so I guess you are stuck with the 2.7L. I cant vouch for reliability but I can tell you it will kick ***! If it can move a 5500lbs truck then a 3500lbs Sedan should be a rocket!
