There is no information about Zebralight from their website, zero information !
Some lights don't have any output number information...

i wonder if george yao is an eccentric or what.
does ZL advertise anywhere?
has he ever been active on a flashlight forum? does he go to trade shows?
how do people even know ZL exists?
anyone know the history of the company? lol

it takes a while for newer models to get output and runtime specs.

I haven't. I'm just assuming that it should be the "w" version numbers, spacing wise, but scaled down. Maybe they did actually change the ratios between steps and that doesn't work. In any case, usually they have a mode for everything, but seems to be a hole between M1 and M2. And, I wouldn't swear to it, but it seems worse on the n version. Minor quibble. Just a shame given that the top 3 high modes are so similar on the n (and definitely not on the w, at least not with a full battery). _Assuming_ it was just an emitter swap, I'm surprised, is all.
What's really sad is the lack of lumen specs on the website, now that they're actually available. I can see how the long runtimes might take a little work, but lumens? Maybe their sphere broke.
 
I don’t think they have a sphere, they just assume the lumens based on LED specs and current.
 
Could be… just lack of organization maybe. I could measure myself the current on each mode and calculate an estimate of runtime. Maybe this weekend I’ll have time.

I have a good guess that the current will be the same or similar to the older SC53c model, if they changed only the LED to 519A and kept everything else the same. If so, the runtime will be the same as the SC53c.
 
I found a review online that has some specs that were measured, don’t know how accurate they are, I’m not affiliated to them. They claim 235 lumens on H1 and 1,108 candelas.

I’ve owned all the previous newer style SC53 models and currently the new sc53c N. The high output seems to be the same across all the models. Some slightly higher and lower but not much difference to the eye. It’s a AA battery, wether it’s 225 lumen or 285 lumen, it’s hardly even noticeable
 
This is off topic, but a few thoughts on Zebralight headlamps:

1. Headband mount

I own both the Zebralight H53Fw AA Headlamp Floody Neutral White, and H600Fc Mk IV 18650 XHP50.2 Floody 4000K High CRI Headlamps. Just today I was using the AA model for a small repair job - a perfect hands-free illumination for such a task. After about 30 minutes I took off the headband, walked into the other room, and my wife immediately asked, "What happened to your forehead?" Well, anyone who has a Zebralight headlamp has experienced the two deep vertical and parallel indentations grooved you're your skull by the rubber headlamp mount. It isn't very comfortable after a long hike or bike ride either. I know they're cheap and simple, but maybe consider a redesign of something along the way of a quick clip plastic mount such as found on a Skilhunt?

2. Headlamp switch

Also consider a pinch type on/off switch also à la Skilhunt vs. the current tube-end switch which makes it easier to operate with one hand?
 
Oh, I'm just whining a little. Since I absolutely love everything about Zebralight flashlights/headlamps so I thought why not think about bringing the accessories up to the same level? And why not consider a different switch position?

Sure, you'll get some mark from any headlamp worn directly over the skin, but does that preclude developing a better one? And no offense ilikeguns40, I'm not wearing a beanie in Texas in summer, sorry. Nice try though ;-)
