Officially, all the XHP35 headlamp models were discontinued in July 2022. The Fw has been continuously available since then, but with the same driver as the c and d versions, which have also been silently updated to XHP50.3. I'm not sure why they still haven't revised the specifications after two years, but I learned about it the hard way in late 2022.

I was at a large concert and Sc53w was underwhelming at night. I've been eyeing Sc65 and Sc600 for a while but hesitant to buy because Zebra always comes out with something better out there. So is there any scoop whether something new will be on the horizon in 2025 or will the lineup still be the same offerings they have now?
If you wanted my recommendation it would first be to ask what CCT you like? If you like warm lights I would say you should try a SC600 modded with a SFT70 3000K, it will be a good while before that light is exceeded I think.

CCT is not my main concern since Zebra has decent offerings for tints to my liking. I’m more about lumens and improved runtimes.
Okay. So how much output do you want/need?
Two awesome options I have and use are
SC600 SFT70
SC65c SFT40
These both hit hard and offer awesome tint and the beam profiles are very even and usable for EDC.
Stock SC65c Hi or SC600 HI will do just fine. Both are beasts outdoors. Don't think you would be disappointed with either. It could be a while until they release something new
Yep, I completely agree. If I could make a custome light from Zebralight parts it you’d be a SC600 but made to use a 21700. Then make the side of the body have a screw on area and two pieces included in the box, one clip and one lanyard loop. This would allow the user to use a screw on clip, a lanyard loop or to just install the screws for a slim smooth area for traditional use. This would make the SC600 a highly purchased light for even more people I believe.
Name would have to be something like SC700c MKI SL. SL for Slimline. Haha
I agree the lack of screw on clip on SC600 is a huge deal breaker. I also can't stand that little lanyard nub ring, to me it's super annoying. One reason I prefer the SC64/65 models

Probably a dumb question here, and I'm OK with it. I'm looking at the H600d Mk IV and the specs show it has a 2.7V-6V driver. So I guess I actually have 2 dumb questions:
1 - will 2xCR123 fit in this light?
2 - if the batteries fit, will the light work (with the exception of the highest levels)?
I would plan to use an 18650 but need to know I can drop a couple of primaries in it if need be. Thanks to anyone who has/had this light and can confirm if it's either primary-friendly or not.

I’ve tried it and it works but I would be careful and not use the high levels. I would only use medium levels as the light requires a higher amp draw than what CR123s can provide

This is the time of year where I start thinking about another/new Zebralight... I looked at their website and WOW, the offerings are abysmal. The only SC65 is the High CRI version with 660 lumens... no SC600w other than the HI version... I wonder what is going on over there?
Also... the lanyard loop on the SC600 is perfect for hanging a small tritium vial to find the light in the dark.

Has anyone ground off this terrible lanyard loop?
I wouldn't let the low lumen number steer you away. It's very nice outdoors with that 660 lumen is plenty bright, throwy beam. SC65 HI is an excellent carry light. I do wish there were some more SC65 in different CCTs available

Last I asked Zebralight, they said they wanted to keep the SKU's low, and were not planning any other versions of the SC65 this year, 2024. I was asking them the same question, I want an SC65 CW with much higher output, as I still carry an SC63 CW at 1300 lumens, and I am one of those rare folks that prefers more cool tints, 5000-6000K, so the 63 is 5700, which is a good medium versus the yellow of 4000k in the SC65cHI. Good to have options, but not from Zebralight, right now, anyway.
I also want a cooler SC65 with higher output and around 5000-5700k from factory. I wish a 719a 5000k was an option, just like their headlamps. They have both 4000 and 5000k models
SC600 with SFT40 - 5000K would be a good powerful thrower with the larger reflector!

I saw a post on Reddit where a guy ground it off and applied some Alumiblack. It was well done but you could tell it was modified.
