well, if it makes you feel any better..

F15 cost less, have more capacity and work great in the D3AA and TS10, both of which have LVP ... ;-)

imo the AA Zebras work better on Eneloop than LiIon, with more constant current to the LED, than LiIon.

you could post it to youtube, and then post the link here

Hopefully Zebra will warranty your light.. let us know the end result
Problem solved. According to Zebralight it’s defective. They have refund the money and I have ordered a new one. I really hope the new one is okay. Excellent and quick customer support from Zebralight.

SC64c/65c with a Mini-Maglite Anti-Roll protective cap. Been EDC'ing this in my front jeans pocket for a while with good results. Had to trim it slightly for button access.

Handy! Looks like a more capable Rayovac Indestructible lol
If you want it, provides excellent drop protection, virtually eliminates accidental turn-ons, anti-roll and optional red/blue lense color changes .. with surprisingly minimal bulk and weight.

Anyone remember when the ribbed or scalloped body tubes for the H5x started? I'm confused going back in time even though I was there with Zebralight from the beginning. Pretty sure I have both a H3x and H5x with the ribbed body and I know I have at least 3 H600 lights with the ribbed body. When I search I see reviews of H52 lights both with smooth bodies and the ribbed bodies. Would be great to see a timeline of all the different variants. Zebralight used to have their pages archived with pictures but those links don't work anymore from the Google spreadsheet.

Just received the replacement lamp and it has the same issue. Little bit frustrating with all the quality issues that Zebralight seems to have at the moment. The new lamp also blink every 90 seconds when turned off.

Oh No!

Very sorry to hear that!

If you want to consider a different light, I suggest a D3AA. It is the same size and weight as the SC54c N:

D3AA is more efficient at all outputs over 2 lumens, works with both AA and 14500, choice of primary LEDs, includes secondary RGB LEDs, and illuminated switch button in your choice of LED color. The UI makes it much easier to change output, gives you the option to use stepped modes, or smooth ramping (personal favorite), and the price is lower.

The D3AA driver will never give you High nor Strobe by mistake, and wont Preflash at High when you go to Medium.

otoh, the Zebra body is smooth, and imo much nicer than the knurly D3AA. And the Zebra pocket clip is far superior.

Both have excellent switches that are recessed and protected from turning on in a pocket.

The beams are different, D3AA is floody, with a consistent brightness across the beam. Zebra beam has a smaller hotspot with better outdoor distance reach.

Can you verify that they didn't send back the exact same one?

Also, out of curiosity, could you try a battery detect reset?

I did not sent back the old one so definitely not the same. What do you mean with battery detect reset? I have tried three different brand new quality batteries from different boxes.

It involves holding the button down with the tailcap loosened for lockout, then while holding the button, tighten and release immediately after the blink.

**if it uses only standard AA cells, then it probably won't be necessary as the battery detect reset applies to lithium ion capable models. Wouldn't hurt to try the reset though.

congratulations on the outstanding customer service!

sorry you now have two lights that blink every 90 seconds, when using Alkaline batteries

I would test with Eneloop, and Ultimate Lithium, to see if the lights still blink every 90 seconds..

I have tried Energizer Ultimate Lithium and they still blink. Brand new batteries.
It most be something wrong with the lights. I don’t know what else to test?

Have you tried going into beacon modes? Maybe something is wonky with the firmware
Beacon strobe works as normal. It still blink when I turn it off. I agree that it must be some kind off bug in the firmware.

I’m in contact with Zebralight. They answer quick and have excellent customer service. They will send a new light they have tested and I will send the blinking light back to them. Seems like I have to pay the freight back but I don’t care. I’m sure we solve the problem but still frustrating because I’m quite busy at the moment.

I don’t really understand? When I tighten the tailcap the lights turn on it don’t flash?

Glad to hear you were able to contact Zebralight customer service and arrange for a replacement light. This seems to be an unusual problem you are having that hasn't been discussed here before. Let us know how things work out. 👍
