Throwers Picture Comparison

Help Support Candle Power:

I am quite impressed with the TX25C2vn XML2.

I just received a light from Vinh today and was going to take a break for awhile, but what a small over achiever!

By the way, thanks a million for doing these beam shots, Bigwilly. You're making excellent use of your downtime.

The more I do, the easier it gets. You need a system in place when doing multiple lights. I hope they help anyone on the fence about a particular light.

The TX25C2vn is the Pocket Thrower King for good reason. It definitely has some power. Good size too. I'm split between the XML2 and XPG2. The XPG2 is a Fiat Lux and is flawless but the XML2 has so much output. I sometimes carry both cause I can't decide on one. Lmao. #v54addictproblems

You have done a great job, i need to get my finger out but dont have decent equipment to hand. Going to nip out with Callum in a bit with his TOOLvn 5000k, couple of other lights and the Q70/maybe tn35vn and something else.........

Pics will be on iphone which does an ok job for what it is.........Getting darker now, be out in an hour or 2 for a bit off fun:)

Cheers,

tough choice tbh, hard to pick one as i am sure you find it hard. My all time would be the x40vnTQ what was made special, after that who knows. I am a big fan of the k60vn SD, its a fantastic light, kind of a tn35vn on steroids.........huge throw and spill in a nice sized light with great UI(took out last time)

This is the bag

In the bag.............are other bags

I am sure i will love the Q70 , cant wait to light the fields up,after that i like them all in their own ways, the ec32vn is a great neutral thrower in a pd35 size body.........

Very true. It is kinda hard as they each serve a purpose.

What exactly is the X40vnTQ? What LEDs?

supbeam(now acebeam) x40 with a solid copper heat sink(HUGE) with triple quad xp-l 5700k

Next to the tk75vnq70

Love the infinite control ring UI of the x40, great host and been used for many awesome lights(deft x /REV captor)

Wow! That is an impressive custom light. I'm curious too about what of numbers it puts out. Is it a combo or a thrower?

Its a flood type ,vinh thinks about 5000 OTF lumens , can run for a good while too, amazing light. Colour rendition is fantastic even though on the cool side(i prefer cooler).

Just got back in 60+ pics

The Q70 does not show too well due to overloading the phone camera,i could see the trees 150+yds away but does not show in pics. Also mist from the lake, if you want i can post some pics here, some are thrower type, others odd flood.
Let me know as can open a thread somewhere:thumbsup:

That is an awesome flashlight.
Please post your pictures here.

Thanks, its very special to me:)
Just done a thread, took that long i missed it here:sigh:

Not to worry, yours are throwers anyway and some of mine are flood types

Thanks anyway bigwilly,top chap:thumbsup:

OK bigwilly:)

Couple or so of thrower pics.......well kind of. Problem with pics taken here is the lake at the back of the trees, mist etc really does stop the light penetrating well. Not only that, auto balance easily gets overwhelmed but colours are not too far of what they look like. I could see a lot further than the phone pics up...........admit not the best tool for the job:crazy:

k60vn SD- If you dont own one bigwilly then i can highly recommend, it wont blow away most of your throwers(if any) but the 230+kcd and 5000lm from the xhp70 is amazing how it gets put out. A perfect beam, great UI from the control ring.........imho a must for a great all round light(in a way like a killer throw without any imperfections from multi reflectors)

Hard to tell from pic, but it pretty much lights the field up

acebeam ec32vn xp-g2 neutral de-dome @ around 40kcd iirc

sr52vn around 250kcd

tn35vn
Not really a thrower but a nice mix of 5000k throw/spill

sr51

As it has over 200kcd which is more than the tn35vn,not a thrower, probably 70% flooder
tk75vnQ70(which you know well)

To compare
armytek viking pro v2.5

v11r on 16340 fuel- although completely outdone, this is one of my fav lights. The infinite control is awesome, use as one of my edc lights, came very useful during many pics for lighting up area around and inside the light bags.

Cheers ven

Nice picture set Ven. You have an awesome collection of lights.

Thanks and you too!!:D

Business ends of some vinh flooders

I kind of prefer more flood or spill orientated lights, still like my throw though............just limited uses much past 400yds.........oh and my eyes limit too
