Recently picked up 4 Streamlight Stingers in a lot purchase.
Seller said batteries were dead in all of them (no surprise).
Included were 6 charging cradles.

New aftermarket batteries from the Jungle Website. Placed them on the charging and I'm getting nothing. No lights lighting up on the cradle.

I have changed any bulbs yet.

I am no expert on Streamlights. Any ideas on what to check for?

Thanks I'm advance.

Check the insides for corrosion on the springs in the forward end of the battery compartment. Check the external charging contacts on the light and the chargers for corrosion or any kind of dirt. They're very sensitive. make sure the switches are off when you charge them. The bulbs don't need to be good to charge.

Depending on your goals with these things, Streamlight makes an upgrade kit that turns an incan Stinger into the current Stinger LED Classic model. Replaces all the internal electronics, including the charging circuit.

I bought an upgrade kit. But I'm sure how to get the head off to get the led module in.
I'm talking about the plastic part surrounding the bulb.

Take out the charging screws and pull off the triangle, push in the switch, and the whole plastic assy will come out the front of the light. Also make sure your upgrade kit is for the incan models. It's less available than the one that upgrades one LED Stinger to a newer one.
