Update surefire L1

Help Support Candle Power:

Sorry if I'm derailing things just a little (I did post helpful info earlier, lol);
But can someone confirm that head will work with the L-series, not just the E-series (which most aftermarket parts are for).
Note that many of the L-series had a driver in the body, while all the E's had their driver in the head unit.
And, how well it handles the low level (i.e. resistor engaged), which none of the E's did.

I would be interested in trying this, but really don't want to bother unless I know it would work with a driver-less L body, and the atypical resistored L-series two-level tailcaps.
Thanks,
I can only comment on what I've found, but this is the order (below) for heads, that I placed/received from Lumens Factory, to be used on a SF L1 and a SF L2

Both worked appropriately, on both levels, via the "gas pedal" (2-level) tailcaps

Hope this helps

Thanks,
I just received an E-Series KL4 Head Unit (Gen 7), 1 Mode (3.7V-9V) from Lumens Factory for my LX2 Lumamax, which according to the description is also compatible with L2 and L4.
Mounted on my LX2 Lumamax, the Lumens Factory head works flawlessly at both brightness levels via the "gas pedal" 2-level tailcap.
