I had actually thought of doing that if someone tried an attack. If they fired a gun, the flash would ignite them into a fireball. Get your marshmallows and hot dogs, boys and girls!

Yeah...mmm...nope!

So, if you could maybe direct it to just one side, okay. What about the poor innocent victim(s) (maybe your family members) caught in the flames on the opposite side from the carjacker? And can you imagine if the carjacking happens inside your home garage?! You ignite your house to save your car? Yeah, I can see a lot of downside to this. I think maybe pepper powder or pepper spray would be a better idea, even if it wouldn't be as effective. You would have to have just the ideal conditions for the fire system to work. And soon, hijackers would learn to simply stand away from the car while ordering the occupants out at gunpoint.

It definitely burns the eyes, armpits and groin area. Just trust me on that.

But damn with gas prices these days it would have been cheaper to use real bullets. If that was premium it would cover the cost of the gun as well.

Massad Ayoob stated that he carried a book of matches with a $20 bill taped to it. He had the serial number written down so he could show proof that it was his.

He stated that if someone attempted to rob him, he'd take the matchbook and money and throw it on the ground, hoping the person would be satisfied with grabbing it and running off.

If the robber persisted, and Mr. Ayoob thought his life was in danger, then and only then would he use deadly force. Having the serial number would show the prosecuting district attorney and judge he made an attempt to buy his way out of using deadly force.

I'm willing to give all the money in my wallet if it kept me from having to shoot someone.
