What we prepare food on? Not exactly the same model, but something very similar to this.

Only thing (as in, of this design) we've prepared food on for as long as I can remember. Since kindergarden at least (early 90's).

We use a mix of portable induction cooktops, Hot Logic tower/minis, and Instant Pots.

I've been cooking on induction cooktops since 2004. The apartment complex I rented in during some of my college years looked nice enough, but as typical, maintenance was minimal. The stove started arcing internally when I'd use the burners. Management refused to replace it. I tried one of those cheap 120v portable burners, but it could barely boil a pot of water. I discovered portable induction burners and imported one and I've been all-induction ever since. At one of my places, despite redoing the kitchen, I've never actually used the stovetop, as two portable induction cooktops and an Instant Pot sit atop the stove.

Ms. TPA and I decided if we ever redo a kitchen, we'll probably omit a built-in cooktop and just go with commercial grade portables, as we prefer having the counter space. I was thinking of either wall-mounting them had have them fold down, like we saw in a 1960s mid-century modern home, or have drawers below the countertop which they'd be stored in and plugged in underneath the countertop.

I use a traditional gas stove with an oven underneath it.
But I also use a very large toaster oven from Hamilton Beach most of the time.
Almost never use the microwave. Yup, chef Mike sees little action in my apartment.

Toaster oven big enough to easily warm up two slices of pizza at one time! Most are just large enough to barely fit one slice inside. Have had that Hamilton Beach for many years. More than I can remember!

when you get around to redoing that kitchen, take a look at Invisicook (or the other options like it, there are many).

Electric smooth top burners and electric oven the wife uses. I have a dual burner propane, and a Blackstone grill and Holland grill that I use.

Back in my high school / early college days, I did cook a few meals off engines and electrical resistor banks a few times. :) At one place I worked, we used a 30kVa transformer to keep food warm.

Interesting... their HQ is only about 30 minutes away from one of my places. When things calm down I'll have to look them up.

I just finished cooking oatmeal using our natural gas stove top. I also use the microwave as well as a toaster.

Mostly a Midea MAD111D8APKW 11 quart dual zone air fryer. Big basket up top, little convection oven below.

I just made steak and eggs w/onions, garlic cloves and chilis in a cast iron skillet over a gas flame. Not quite as tasty as cooked over coals or a pit but much easier to do before first coffee.

You know the deal, pictures or it didn't happen.

Oh, I believe you. I just want to see that wonderful meal.
