I NEED one of these! MIP Solar! https://gshock.casio.com/intl/products/collection/origin/gw-bx5600/I've been on a G-Shock jag for a while now. Wearing the GBX100NS-1 off and on for a few days. The MIP display is stunningly great outdoors...
But around the house, especially in the evenings, the negative display, even with MIP tech, is a relatively poor choice for good readability. So, I've resigned myself to wearing this watch when I want something tough and durable and I'm going to be outdoors, or in brightly lit environments. No more negative displays for me. I don't use the tides function on this (surf) watch, but I do use the sunrise/sunset data on it.
I also have a couple more G-Shocks inbound via DHL from Japan.
I decided to round out my G-Shock stable with a GMW-5000 (all steel, positive STN digital display with BT, MB6, and Tough Solar) and a GW-BX5600 (resin, positive MIP display with BT, MB6, and Tough Solar). I really like the BT controls and time accuracy as well as the Solar charging. Just so convenient - all the time. I will post pics when I make 'em.
