As wonderful as it has been to watch flashlight tech change over the past 25+ years, it ultimately means models will be discontinued. Some of these don't seem to have a modern equivalent.

Which flashlights do you wish were still made today?

I have a few:
PALlights, 9V. I still have about 8 of these, including one green and one red. Still all working. That always-on glow and 9V batteries make them very useful to me. You can ALWAYS get 9V batteries for hurricanes.

BLF LT1 Mini - I'm not sure why they discontinued this and still make the LT1. This was the perfect size for travel, along with a long runtime. The regular LT1 are great but wow are they heavy and bulky. I have 3x LT1 and 3x LT1 Mini and like them both, but the regular LT1 stay home.

Fenix CL20 (not -R). Half-circle shaped lantern. Pleasant light output, uses 2x AA or 1x CR123A battery. Magnetic back, great light distribution. They later made a rechargeable version with fixed battery (yuck).

Fenix CL23 (not -R) Lantern. 1-3x AA batteries, had a few unique features like only illuminating in one direction AND had a downward facing LED. Just like the CL20, they discontinued it and put a fixed battery in.

Fenix CL05 - AAA lantern with W/R/G LEDs. I always keep one of these clipped on my backpack. Whether at a theme park, busy city street, or large outdoor concert, these were great non-distracting marker lights, making it easy for us to find each other.

Wurkkos TS10 V2. I can't believe these are discontinued already. This is my current EDC and I'm not sure what I'd replace it with.

Fenix TK76 + battery extenders ("AER-TK75 extended runtime kit"). I really would like to have another one, also fully kitted out with 12x 18650's.

PALight

Also the Lightwave 4000.

(It wasn't all that bright, but the battery life on 3 D batteries was amazing.)
Wish someone would bring it back with modern Nichia LEDs.

Klarus Mi-X6 AAA Titanium; with twisty head.
I love twisty switches; no button to fail.
It had integrated tail loop for keychains, cords, etc.
I wore it around the neck under the shirt.
Titanium is sweat proof.
Super-tiny for EZ carry anywhere 👍🏼

Also—I never got one of Surefire’s 1-cell 3P lights ☹️ (tiny black, on right in photo)
Seemed like a good idea ; small for carry, can find numerous LED drop ins.

Definitely the Liteflux LF2XT. It is the holy grail of lights. I have never seen a more complex light engine. I disassembled one and is has a stack of 3 or 4 very small PCBs. Noone else created a AAA light with the (similar) functionality of a HDS Clicky.

My list of lights that should be put back into production:

Fenix E01, version one. The original 5mm cockroach light.

Gerber Infinity Ultra. To my mind, this has all of the virtues of the Fenix E01(unkillable simplicity and ruggedness, joule-thief driver that starts up on 0.6v) plus some valuable extras: works on AA’s as well as AAA’s, has a built in momentary tail switch, and is easier to modify with your own 5mm emitter. The Kalashnikov of lights — only this one is chambered both for 7.62x39 and for .22LR.

I wish that the Klarus Mi-X5 were still available — one of the few lights made for the AAAA cell. This is a niche desire on my part, because a AAAA light is never going to be a big seller or even a very useful EDC.

The PAL light? I purchased a couple of those last year out of curiosity. One of them is now my permanent night light in the bathroom, mounted up at the ceiling and pointing down at the throne. Just enough light to find it in the middle of the night. Otherwise, I think they are too heavy and clunky for my taste. And the beam is so ugly that the first time I shined it on a wall, I thought it was the Eye of Sauron.

That Fenix CL 05 — I missed those when they were made, but looking it up now I can see why you like it. A simple AAA- format marker light in multi colors. Nice!

I instantly knew the Sofirn C01 and C01s lights
were Ideal for so many situations !
🥰
Therefore --
I made damn sure to order (ahem)
"multiple" quantities of each !

Just looked at my collection of 'em yesterday.
😎

Oh, and much respect to my LiteFlux LF5XT,
which was (at the time) the most Expen$ive
flashlight I had ever purchased !

note to CPF user TPA:

Wurkkos TS10 version 2 (discontinued)

I miss the Fenix L1T and L2T; Compact, easy to use, durable, reasonably priced, and easily modable.

I looked. It says check the US warehouse, but when I search for it over there it doesn't come up. If it did, I'd probably be in for 5 of them. 2 to give away, 3 to keep

I primarily miss some of the custom modded parts and wish I could get them again. For example I have six KT4s that I wish I could get a SS bezel for. Also wish I would have picked up more of the PHD drivers back in the day as well as bulbs. I miss some of the FM bipin holders. Discontinued hosts are easy to find on ebay, but the good stuff only comes up for sale rarely if ever.

That looks like a dead ringer for a Nitecore I bought for a gift awhile back, idk if they still make it.
But for the OP Nitecore D10 all day long..

I miss my Nitecore EX10 piston-drive. modded of course with a Nichia HCRI.
Small, ramping, no unneeded modes like strobe, pretty low low.

It was clipped to my belt, then it wasn't.😢

I just sold a mint EX11, they're still out there if you look.

Is the specifically Orange Sofirn BLF LT1 out of production? Was it a limited run in that colour?
I have been trying to get another, but it seems unavailable everywhere now.

As an emergency product, I really liked the always-on power-LED.

And as an emergency product, I really like the body colour as well. That shiny orange makes it easier to find in the dark.
