I guess I'm a masochist at times. I'll find the things I'm not good at and dive head-first into them until I am good at them. When I was learning to fly, I had the choice of several different aircraft. I flew all of them and then chose the one I struggled with the most to train on and did so until I could fly it as seamlessly as someone with 100x my experience.
Yeah, I've violated that excellent advice as well. Otherwise I'd shut down both of my YouTube channels. Oh, especially my ASMR channel.

I knew that was familiar. 🤓
Sorry, but a nerd is a nerd is a nerd. You can call us "flashlight enthusiasts" if you think it makes a better impression, but a nerd by any other name is still a nerd.

I've noticed that the people in my interest subsets seem to crop up in most of them. That is, "we", the ahem, "unusual folks" (nerds), seem to like the same things. I won't go into my particular interests, but suffice to say, a lot of you have some of the same interests.

Sorry? Would you please explain? For the record, I didn't call anyone anything.

Interesting. What is the mechanism?
From the AI Internet -

Yes, yellow mustard can be effective for relieving muscle cramps due to its high vinegar content, which may help distract the brain from the cramp sensation. Many athletes use it as a quick remedy during workouts.

Who else knew? Not me.

No idea, but it works for me. I carry around a few packs of yellow mustard just for this, lol.

**the weird part? I don't find mustard to be particularly sour, but that natural pucker reflex might have something to do with it...maybe it triggers something in the vagus nerve, and blocks/reroutes the signals to the face and mouth instead, like smacking someone who's hyperfixated to break their attention?

Hmm - this sounds similar in action to using a tablespoon of cider vinegar to stop hiccups. It's horrid but it works for me.

How much mustard does it take to stop the cramps?

I just slurp the whole packet, less of a mess from extended storage, but a small gloop, maybe a quarter packet, might work. I never did a comprehensive test, lol...

If you pucker, no suffer...probably.

**on a side note, I have been trying to train my muscles in the area to stimulate the nerves similar to how I feel when eating mustard, but it has vastly been unsuccessful.
