Haven't seen that, in my neck o' the woods.
I've got a couple of this guy's great belts, though: Armour Belts. Got them back when the price was $60. They're up more than 50% since then. Isn't $20, but they last practically forever. Got to love really good belts.
Belts with rollers need to be made of seamless tubing or they will pull apart...

I wear a hanks steel core belt. No sag.
The steel core helps when one carries large and heavy.
It’s not comfortable but it’s built for purpose not pleasure.

I wore a new Carhartt polar fleece lined shirt jacket with hood today. Now as much as I try to like Carhartt it was a drag to see all kinds of loose threads. It's why I like those new kids on the block. Now maybe they too will cut corners someday but Carhartt is supposed to be the best. With all of the competition they have now it would be in their best interest to spend a little more on quality control.

This is an incredible belt and may never buy anything else again!
Funny story, I put it around my waist really quickly before going to an appointment, and couldn't take it off again! So I tightened it a little more and pulled it up and hid it under my t-shirt for the next several hours.
These Kore belts are the best belts ever made for any belt carry purposes!
True. And their customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced. Absolutely excellent. Though forced to admit, from experience, their gun-belts are best used with small and lightweight firearms. Definitely not suitable for a big and heavy L-Frame S&W or something similar along those lines.

Carhartt #A18 Watch Cap (beanie) -- Picked up one of these, recently. Just warm enough, and the long cuffed design comes down nicely over the neck and ears when it gets frigid. "Only" acrylic, but it's a fairly dense weave. Nice little unit, during winter, without being too much hat.

I have one of these carhartt hats with a built in face mask. It is comfortable and warm, but the face mask doesn't fold neatly into the hat, so it feels a little like you have a crumpled mess on top of your head when it is tucked in. Not terrible, but it doesn't give that warm cuddled feeling.

Hard Yakka heavy cotton drill cargo pants, great in the colder months but almost intolerable in summer and a polyester short sleeved shirt (I preferred the cotton).
Not fond of the cold/wet weather jackets but they are adequate, unless it's really cold I don't bother with a jacket at all.
Remaining cold weather gear is up to the individual (we supply our own), Thinsulate products have performed well over the years although I do have a well worn pair of Hatch gloves.
Belts & boots and a commodity that constantly need replacement at least yearly but I've had the same 2" duty belt since 2006 and still going strong

In the Spring of this year I started wearing a mechanics belt. Scratchless no buckle type that fastens using velcro. Took some practice to cinch it enough to hold up me trousers though.
Tonight Mrs Fixer bought me a Carhartt trucker type jacket they call Detroit. It's a 1950's mechanic style that was named Detroit in the 1980's. Horse blanket lined cotton duck canvas with a corduroy collar. The rear has a 2" droop to cover your belt area when bending over.
Logo on the chest was gone minutes after getting it home
Warm liner wears like unlined.

I don't know about others but often when I see a product I like for the first time I want to learn about it. So today when I saw that Carhartt Detroit jacket I had never seen one or heard of it. Maybe on tv I may have seen one though but didn't pay it any mind.
Anyway it seems it started out as a railroad worker jacket in the early 1900's but as word spread became something farmers and iron workers wore too. By the 1950's it had been through a few changes and in '58 received a zipper instead of buttons. It was known as "the zipper jacket". At that point it had a wool blanket liner in the body. In 58 it was denim. In '59 they changed to duck canvas.
Between the late 50's and 80's it received a tapered cuff on the sleeves, went from wool blanket to flannel lined, a time with foam lining and back to blanket, only that was polyester like today. It went from railroad wear to mechanics wear in the 50's and 60's but was still a favorite with iron workers and tow truck drivers.
In the 90's somebody at Carhartt decided to call it Detroit since it was one of the first style of jackets from their early days in Michigan. It was made in Michigan for decades until Carhartt went global production. Bangladesh is one such country. They are a Democracy but slowly turning toward a one party state but that's another story. But facing stiff competition from other brands Carhartt made the switch.
The one shown in post #137 is a modernized Detroit. Purists are all bitter beer faced about the changes like the longer drop down rear, and no more tapered cuff. Recent fans fail to realize the jacket has been changed on occasion to fit the times or just make improvements. The strict purist should insist on one with buttons from the original version or still made of denim if they hate change.
But the modernized has snaps for a hood, a drop down rear for draft protection but the biggest changes are the broken in aspect. The liner is no longer scratchy and the outter is no longer a cardboard box with stove pipe arms for the first 5 years. It's still a weighty jacket with 12oz/sq yd cloth and it still stands up in a corner when new but now it droops a little.
Me personally, I would not have bought the older version. Too short and too stiff. Yet I am sorry to see there won't be anymore sand stone color option. Want the old style? Go to eBay where there are hundreds available. The new version goes for between $90 and $130. (Mrs Fixer paid $50 on clearance.) The older version at eBay are priced at $130 and up. There you'll see brick red, green, and lots of other options.

Love the more-traditional Carhartt jackets, myself. But the longer droop on this new Detroit sounds like a great feature.

Blocks all the wind. Have since added a snap-on hood to the thing. If adding a good base layer and a mid-weight+ top, it'll handle most anything. It's not waterproof, but it's pretty good for a duck material. Doesn't have the rear droop like your newish-Detroit does, but the XLTall sizing means it's plenty long enough all around.

I think it's only a domestic (norwegian) brand, as I cannot find their clothes anywhere else.
Both the jackets and pants are wind and water resistent well beyond my simple needs. Price? Well, a lot have been bought as outlets, with up to 90 % discount. So ~$10 (equivalent) for a ~$100 list price pair of pants. Jackets have been ~$40 to $80, depending on shell or winter version, and in high-visiblity or regular black colour.

As one who has been exclusively wearing sweat pants well into my 30s because all denim pants have felt way too rigid, I was ecstatic to have finally found some more durable and versatile pants. So now I own 17 pairs of pants, 5 jackets, and 3 wool sweaters, with a mix of regular black and high-visibility yellow depending on my needs.
But I also own a few Helly Hansen jackets (Kensington and Magni) and Snickers pants (6619, 6639, 8201 and 9442).
After having discovered stretch belts (I use to use leather belts), I cannot go back. I bought 5x Helly Hansen Logo Webbing (green with black buckle) stretch belts 2 years ago, and am now only using that. The dark lime green colour goes great with my otherwise black clothes. ^^
Gloves...oof, don't get me started. I've spent most of last summer buying winter clothes, and gloves in particular. I used to think for the longest time "a glove is a glove" and "a cheap glove is a good glove, because nothing else exists" - boy, was I wrong about that!
