Illumination still works, I just tried it. It no longer works on everything though. He reduced the price of batteries so the code no longer applies to them, or clearance items.

Yep. Basically it works on lights...but not most accessories, cells, individual parts, etc.

I sent greenLED info about it, as well as the other discount code "blacknovember". That code works on only a few items, but it is definitely worth trying...some lights are still up to forty percent off with that code. I assume greenLED will update the first post when he comes back online.

Isn't "blacknovember" a seasonal discount? This thread is for permanent discounts for CPF members (see post #3). Has anyone tried contacting Illumination supply (or whatever they are called now) directly, to see if they offer a (new) permanent discount code for CPF members?

If not, maybe someone should, and this discussion can finally be over!

Call it what you like, but it still works now. Whether or not it will be continued in perpetuity is a valid question, but the same question could be raised for any other code. There is nothing to stop them from changing it tomorrow, whether it started as a seasonal code or not.

I know there was a CPF-specific discount code (can't remember what it is now) but it was never as good as "illumination" anyway. Why bother with a CPF code when they have another that works for everyone, AND gives a better discount?

Don't get me wrong; discounts are great; the bigger the better! But the continued discussion about anything other than permanent ones doesn't belong here; it belongs in the "Good Deals" thread (if we still have that thread, after the merge).

This thread is a sticky in the Good Deals sub-forum. There is another sticky for daily deals...but blacknovember has worked continuously for several months now...I simply don't buy it as a "seasonal" discount. It seems totally appropriate to post it here. Of course, if Greta or greenLED object, I'm happy to remove it - they define the scope of the thread. But until then, I don't see why we can't share a fantastic discount in a thread designed to inform people about discounts. :D

I just checked illumn.com, I can get blacknovember to work for nitecore but not thrunite or eagletac. Illumination won't work for eagletac.

It has worked for different lights at different times. The only way to know if it works for the light you want, is to try. I have used it since Thanksgiving for various Armytek,Olight,SWM, Nitecore,E'tac and Thrunite.

I tried the TX25C2 and the TN36 a few minutes ago and it did NOT work,,,,,,,,,those are 2 lights that I got and it worked for them several months ago. It still works for the Olight M2X and SWM C22C that I also purchased. For the MOST part if it works for one light a manufacturer sells it will work for all of their lights,,,,there are exceptions to this that I noticed along the way!

I think it is quite apparent that Craig changes it up from time to time!;)

In the Orbtronics website I tried using CPF117 in the enter promo code field and got this message: "The promo code you entered is not valid, expired or not eligible for this order. Please verify or leave the promo code field blank"
I tried to fill the cart with different items from $30 - $60 total purchases but no luck.
Any Idea what I am doing wrong?

I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago, ended up paying full price. It's worked for me in the past.

Don't mind this. Keeping as reference as I update the OP.

The purpose of this thread is to list vendors that offer discounts to CPF members through "special" sales websites (prices not available to non-CPF'ers).

Feel free to post other links to this thread and I'll add them to the first post for all to see. If you are a dealer and have a "seasonal" sale, please post these on a different thread. Thank you.

The following are CPF "specials" pages (please check the "details" links, as some vendors require you take specific steps to obtain the discounts):

The following are permanently low prices, sales, and clearance pages:

Disclaimer/notes Edit:
I don't work for any of these businesses or get anything from them for adding links to their sites here. I just like to find good deals once in a while and thought it'd be nice to share this info. I used to list these links in the order in which I found them or people sent the links to me; starting 1 Nov 2005, I decided to list the CPF specials in alphabetical order; other links listed as people point them out to me.

Finally, you might notice I have declined to list a few select vendors that may offer rock-bottom prices or discounts. With the "CPF Spirit" in mind, I reserve the right to decide which specials will be listed.

If you're a CPF-supporting vendor, :thanks: a bunch!

Lighthound's site says "LIGHTHOUND IS CLOSED We would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you all these wonderful years. Please note that all orders placed have shipped."

It's a shame -- they were a great dealer.

That sucks! I ordered a lot of stuff from them over the years. :(

Guess that explains why most items I've clicked on for the last year or so, have been out of stock.

Man, hard to believe they closed up shop...they were one of the first online stores I bought lights from years ago. :awman:

Wow, that's a bummer. I bought most of my AW RCR123 batteries from them over the years. I got an email about a huge sale a few weeks ago, but when I went to the site, hardly anything was in stock. I don't think the email said anything about closing up the shop. It never dawned on me they would close.

+1 they were one of the early 'no fuss' shippers from the US to the UK when a lot of US companies wouldn't ship here, I bought loads of stuff from them over the years.
One of the best companies to deal with, they will be missed.
