the single mode/direct drive should be close to the same... drivervn2 is direct drive on high.. the only difference would be internal resistance of the stock vs drivervn electronics... probably a negligible difference

Thanks Justin. I am getting this light thanks to Vinhs Fairness, Trust and Patience! I am getting Single Mode DD just like his M2Xvn U3 Brother. This will be a great test for the water tower. I think it will make it.

385Kcd=1241M/1357Yds. I am thinking and hoping the DD/SINGLE MODE will push it another 82yds.!

THE TOWER IS 1438 YDS. AWAY. THAT EQUATES TO 433Kcd/1316m/1439yds. 1 yard to spare!

THIS WAS MY FIRST TESTING SITE. Four of my torches made it easily. TK61vn V1, XSearcherVN, K40vn and OSTS TN31mb. The only one that was NOT verified in terms of testing was the K40vn. It was known to be ~400Kcd. This test proved that mine is 433Kcd+:thumbsup:

I just got One of these[link below] for the M2Xvn XPG2 PDTc version.

There was not ANY battery on HKJ's comparator that had a better Voltage sag, [ie less of a voltage sag] To the AWT IMR 18650 2500mAh 35A version.

That was comparing IMR 2500mAh versions to Efest, K'power, LG HE2/HE4,Samsung 25R and Sony VTC5 2600mAh. Samsung and Sony were very close.May be a Sony Cell? It also Exceeded all of them except Sony VTC5[2600mAh] at all the different currents ending at 2.8v. ie best run times,,even if it was slight!

This is relatively new battery. AWT IMR 18650 3000mAh 35A. I guess I will find out if the quality and performance are as good as its 2500mAh version!

They work in my M2X,,,,,,,,,,,That is what this is for! The M2Xvn XPG2. Flat tops also work in my S200C2vn and my TX25C2vn!

All I can tell you is what I told you! They work in my M2X[spring in head],they work in my E'Tac modded lights that I mention. If they don't work in yours,,,,,,I am not sure why!

Guess what,these FLAT TOPS are raised,,that is why they work! I am not making this up!

Just a little further elaboration gentlemen!

-I have been using K'Power IMR 2500mAh Flat tops for my M2Xvn for over 5 months

-I am using Efest IMR 3100mAh Flat tops for my TX25C2vn for 6 months.

-I have been using NCR18650BD 3200mAh Flat Tops for my S200C2vn for over 1 year.

If you look at these threads,especially the S200C2vn you will notice a comprehensive discussion about FT or NO FT!

EDIT: YES,E'tac does state that you can not use flat tops.As myself and others have proven they can be used[raised FT]. E'Tac doesn't want you to use them which is understandable.

I LOOK UP HARVEST LANE ~100YDS./91M AND I SEE SEVERAL PEOPLE NEAR THE POOL.THE POOL IS NOT OPEN FOR 2 MORE WEEKS. I SCURRY INTO THE DINING ROOM WHERE "CAPO'S" MAIN ARSENAL IS LOCATED. MY 3 X 18650 & 4 X 18650 LIGHTS DO NOT HAVE THEIR BATTERIES IN THEM. I GRAB A VERY CAPABLE 1 X 18650.....THE M2Xvn "U3" DD/SINGLE MODE LASER!

I QUICKLY RETURN TO THE WINDOW AND THE "PUNKS" ARE STILL LAUGHING AND CARRYING ON.I TURN THE LIGHT ON AND SEE THEY ARE INSIDE THE FENCE OF THE POOL. THE M2Xvn SEEMS TO STUN AND SHOCK THEM!I HEAR ONE OF THE PUNKS SAY,"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT"!! THEY ALL START TO JUMP OVER THE FENCE TO EXIT THE POOL AND RUN TOWARDS THEIR CAR. MEANWHILE THE M2Xvn IS ZEROED IN ON THEM!ONCE THE PUNKS START TO EXIT I GIVE THEM ~ 5 OR 6 SECOND REPRIEVE!
