That doesn't look good at all! Noticed some light faint spots on my new 200 HiCRI (SS bezel) too. Contacted Henry, but he first asked me to wipe/rub it with my fingers or otherwise polish it.
Lights like this, should leave factory (almost) perfect, IMO.

Well mine looked perfect for a while :p But it started with a few tiny spots and it gotten worse since. My 325 Tactical has the shiny black bezel which still looks spotless.

By the way Kevin, how does the light intensity compares between your 250 and 200? At moments I prefer the tight beam of the 200 I have but it lacks too much punch compared to the 325. Notice any increased throw?

Haven't compared both side by side, in the outdoors. Of course my 250 will throw more, since the 200 it a warmer HiCRI. Tint is awesome though :D

Compared both indoors, and the 250 is way intenser.

Yea but you probably have to send the worn bezel to him i'd think, that's $50 shipment cost for him for a few spots on the bezel. Not sure yet if i'm gonna follow up on it.
Shipping in a plain bubble envelop, shipping to the USA and a replacement to you won't be more than $20 total. Shipping an envelop of 50-100 gram to the USA is €3,75.

Yeah that's true, diffrent led, not fair to compare. I've been really liking my Surefire 6PX PRO lately because of it's sweet beam and warm tint. So I can see how the HiCRI is so populair.

Ooh yeah, didn't even cross my mind that it's such a small part :p I'll shoot him an e-mail.

Has anyone compiled a list of all the HDS dealers in USA other than just Henry and Hogo?

I put the diffuse reflector into my hyper red. Wow, these lights should have been shipped with these. This is the ULTIMATE night vision preserver light in the world now. :D

If you don't mind a shiny steel bezel, you can remove the anodising by placing the bezel in a caustic soda solution for a short while. When rinsed, the metal will look tarnished, but clear of ano. You can then polish it with fine steel wool followed by T-Cut (used to polish car paint). Or you could send it back to Henry.
P

It's not anodized aluminum. The bezels are stainless. They are coated with an AlTiN coating, which for HDS, has had issues.

Anyone by chance know what lumen output of an HDS Ra clicky with the blue sticker is?
I also have a Ra "every day carry" that doesn't say anything about HDS or EDC on the bezel. Tried looking, buy I can't find any info on it.
Any of you gents know anything about the earlier Ra's? Any help would definitely be appreciated!

Ra Lights was the name of Henry's company up until a couple of years ago when he switched to just HDS Systems badges. Many of the "Legacy" Clickies and all the Twisties were packaged under the Ra name. If you look back over the older HDS master threads many of them discuss Ra, but it's the same light.

He also used to ship his lights in unassuming ziplock bags which somehow made them seem more special.

On a different note, I got one of these for Christmas:

http://forcetech.biz/product/hds-systems/

Quite a bit cheaper than the HDS offering but still great quality. With the tension properly adjusted (which you can do yourself), it holds my flashlight securely with no chance of it accidentally falling out.

Regarding your blue sticker Ra, from Hogo on 7-13-2014 in HDS Systems EDC # 16:

The color codes only refer to output. They do not denote the type of LED so:
120 lumen green
140 lumen blue
170 lumen purple
200 lumen red
250 lumen orange

And to bring it up to date, a 325 lumen light has a yellow sticker. So yours is a 140.

Other info of interest: The Ra (and earliest HDS marked lights after) are referred to as the "legacy" lights, the first to use the long stainless bezel, although the real legacy was the original HDS EDC, the Basic 42/60 and Ultimate 42/60/85, before Henry sold the design to Novatac, and briefly joined their staff. Novatac lights are common threading, but modified user interface, to the original EDC lights. Your lights have a modified thread that does not accept heads or bodies from these. Current HDS lights use a square, or ACME thread, and also don't interchange with yours.
