All v5 items have their own threads. e heads will be announced in the e thread and wasp heads will be announced in the wasp thread. Duplicate announcements will also be made in the new v5 master announcement thread:

https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/408772

This thread if for the board itself and will only see announcements for self install boards. I'll see about adding a TOC to post 1.

New Member Question

Hello from Chicago,

I recently purchased an OR Triple XPL/219 Surefire C2 light from Oveready. In the description it talks about different ways you can customize your light by programming it. I did find after much searching www.oveready.com/prog/. Can someone explain how a light is programmed or direct me to a page that explains it?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the confusion. Levels 1-32 are standard regulated modes. Level 33 is a special mode whose output varies with the situation. AB will for example, run higher than 3500 when extra cold. Look for these words in the mode configuration lineup: Afterburning 100% 30W

What prohibits swapping the optics on the e head?
A solid friction fit between the top of the head and the custom heat sink...

Wasp is listed as 'swappable' because it was designed to be. Unscrew the top, change out a part, screw down the top. E heads are not listed as swappable because they are not designed to be. v5 E heads are not sealed and can technically be taken apart. But not easily so, so its up to each person to decide if they are willing to separate the parts holding the optic in place and put them back together.

My A33 Tri-219 arrived today. Now the best P60 host ever has the best drop-in ever. Now I'm sure I want an amber LED in my modded E2E as well...if such a thing were possible, anyway.

Is there a way to switch from dim, low, medium, high to High, medium, low, dim?

Check out the first post for programming instructions. Took me about 10 mins to figure it out, then had a lot of fun experimenting with different modes. Current favorite is DLMH using hybrid memory. I like my L and M modes a little lower than they came from factory, it's awesome to have this flexibility!

One question, we can use a single AW IMR 18650 3000mAh but not in pairs?

You can use it in pairs if you have a 2x18650 sized body to accommodate both batteries. There's no functional reason why you couldn't use two of those batteries.

Edit: My bad, I was wrong about these cells.
