I know what tritium lamps are. Night sights on my guns. I didn't drop the light!! Even if I did.... So you're saying I can't ever drop my edc flashlight!! My tritium in my night sights that I use as my duty gun have been. Through hell and back and haven't had an issue.

I'll take better pics tonight but absolutely ZERO marks from a drop. This thing had left the case for a few times sitting in the backyard ****ing around with it. I'm well aware of the half life and obviously they broke but from what.... ME carrying my edc flashlight!!! That's like saying don't shoot your gun, don't drive your truck lol.

The tubes are made of glass. So to answer your question, you can drop it but don't expect the tritium to still glow.

That does seem really odd that 3 lamps quit working. Maybe one would be a fluke, but 3 indicates a possible defective batch.

I wonder how difficult it would be to remove, then install new trits if replacements could be sent?

Let's tone this down a little bit, shall we.....

First of all I'm sure that you would never have to worry about your order with Tain (Yitsan). The guy's a Class Act through and through and would never compromise his reputation by not being forthright and honest. Second, for the other guy, if something is wrong with your light then the place to take your argument here is with Tain and not spewing innuendo all over the forum when he hasn't even had a chance yet to inspect your light. Take it easy a little and have a cold one, or two. Contact him and work it out brother, it'll be alright. Don't go blowing a blood vessel in the 'ole cranium so fast. Donald Trump doesn't even twitter that fast......

To be fair, of course its disappointing when the vials fail ... especially when that is one of the main reasons for buying the light in the first place. Nobody is saying that Yitsan is at fault for it though. He is indeed a class act and a great guy. I'm speculating that it may have happened during transit if the package was roughly handled and some microfractures in some of the vials were incurred. Then a slow leakage could have accounted for why the vials still had some tritium when received.

I believe that the vials in these lights are not cushioned (except at the tips) ... so this does happen occasionally. It happened to one of my Tain lights long ago.

I totally understand poop happens. Thus being my first dip into the light game and my $775 flashlight only lasting a few weeks before I have to send it international again sucks. I'm sure Yitsan is a great Dude just bummed I'll be without the light for awhile. I treated that light super carefully. I think I only carried it once. Just so bummed out.

Not sure bud. You can email Tain (Yitsan) here...

Pretty sure you're not getting the Thud Ti Birthday/Christmas edition light jskelton has though. I would drown a litter of pups for that thing and normally I wouldn't harm a fly.
