High noon out for delivery... (Rotary... :nana: )

I hope I got the right one in the box I shipped to you and not one of the empty ones sitting on my bench I use for holster making...
Just messing with you... hicup!

Great! Your post prompted me to check and the light is coming in today. Looking forward to the forecasted darkness! The dog will be getting some extra mileage tonight for sure! Unless it rains. And again, thanks Hogo for coordinating, managing, shipping and whatever else you did to get this out. More praiseworthy is you did it while juggling a Fast Urban Canoe Killer, M.E & U and a glass of scurvy preventer laced with rum. Kudos!

Real quick question and I apologize as it's surely somewhere in this thread and elsewhere but I'm too lazy to look it up. What is your feelings about rechargeable batt for the CR123 HDS? If you use one, which one? I would prefer protected.

Yes the (acronym) ME and U, are nearly done. FedEx was supposed to deliver the oars or rather 6 Equus ferus caballus yesterday, but failed to show up. Supposed to come today. I guess I can forgive them as it isn't a small package. Just finished mounting the manual sweat maker locks. Only to be used in an emergency. Got the lighting all hooked up on the (acronym) U, and have to take that to get licensed after FedEx shows up... which I hope is before 4 so I can make the happy happy joy joy trip to motor vehicles. I love the Department of Transportation and wish I could spend more time there. Everyone is so happy and polite. I just want to get off the hot garage floor and on the water. I'm hoping it will help me get a nice piece of bass. I heard you can get more bass with a boat. Don't tell my girlfriend.
Anyway, as always, if anyone's order fell victim to the dread pirate Roberts... or Captain Morgan, just let me know. Shipping went too smoothly, and that makes me nervous. Either I'm learning (doubt it) or my organizational skills are improving... would be the only organ improving in my body at my age.

I got mine in Chicago, exactly as ordered. Thanks Hogo, for thinking of this project, organizing it, and executing it. I'm afraid this light is going to spoil me...

High noon @ 1:30 pm here.
I was worried that the mail man would just deliver it to a neighbor. Our regular mailman ( who is awesome ) gets moved around and we get subs who are either not capable or do not care where the mail goes. I don't care where my bills end up, just don't deliver my high noon to my neighbor.
Thank you Hogo for all your efforts. We have benefited from your pursuit of the holy grail.

My high noon arrived too. Maybe it was after the last sip of rum...does not match what i ordered...

J/K. Got exactly what I ordered. Looks great but still too much light to get the real feel.

My family now consists of:

200 219b 18650
200 219c 123 3 o'clock
200 219c 18650 high noon
250 18650
325 123

I'm going to have to pick my favorites and let 2-3 go. I do not need all of these, i do not need a light except for certain occasions...and i have a bunch of other options as well

Any easter eggs in the latest programming with the High Noon? Did candle mode go away?

Candle mode is still here. Nine clicks on mine. Anyone have the Led off-centered? Mine is noticeably. It affects the beam slightly, but I guess I can live with it. Definitely a beautiful white beam! It seems brighter and throws farther then my 200 High CRI did.

Yoohoo! They are all landing!
No Easter eggs. Candle mode is 9 clicks from off.
INFRNL... damn you! Had me for a second. Just wait until you order something else! I'll ship an empty bottle of rum instead!
Didn't get to MVD. FedEx arrived too late and I had to sign for the ponies. How they got six of them in that little engine I'll never know. Mechanical stuff makes more sense to me though than electronics. Electronics is just magic.
So, I"m off to MVD in the morning when they open at 0730, and if all goes well, will be headed to the water to test out my new contraption. If you don't hear from me for awhile, send a search and rescue team. Tell them to bring rum. Whoever finds my body can have the HDS High Noon that will be on it in the holster.

Oh, and I should be thanking you guys. If it were not for folks buying up the lights, I wouldn't have been able to do this and wouldn't have a High Noon myself. What would I do with 24 High Noons? Well, I guess I could put them on the bed and roll around naked in them...
I do think this light should be considered "neutral" because of where it land on the black body radiator and sphere results. What we thought of as neutral before, is actually warm. There is nothing "cool" about this light... well, yes it is cool, but the color isn't. It definitively seems brighter because of the temp and "whiteness" of it. One must ask themselves "It's like, how much more white could this be? and the answer is none. None more white".

Took the High Noon and the dog out for a walk tonight.
This is my first experience with an HDS. I own and regularly use a couple of Elzettas and a Malkoff MDC 16650N and have a few inexpensive Chinese lights scattered around in various tints and sizes. They all have admirable attributes of their own...bombproof, cheap, brighter-than-hell, tiny, hefty, copper, etc. They are all very good at what they do and I find them all useful in one way or another.

After tooling around for a couple of hours tonight in the world, my initial impression is that this HDS light is on another plane entirely. The fit, finish, form, beam, UI, all come together to create something much bigger than the sum total of it's parts. It's got something...what is it? Can a flashlight have charisma? Whatever, none of my other lights possess this...whatever it is.

I was "warned" about the attraction that might take hold. All I can say is, damn, you were right!

This is disappointing, do you have a picture?
Is it because the led is soldered off centered on the board? Because otherwise there's not much tolerance for off-center led with the current design.

My 5700k rotary arrived and it just got dark here.
(I'm in the western islands, HAST here..).
Took it out for a stroll, bright, very nice.

Exceeds expectations. Perfectly centered, no tinge, true high noon tint + HiCRI.

Well done Hogo! (and Henry!). -No doubt there are more to come..

Thanks again for doing this run..

Aloha! -Ron

Nice enjoyable read and it takes me back to when I had much the same journey.

I remember driving out the Steese Hwy with my hand out the window for as long as I could stand the cold, using my hCRI P4 Ra Clicky in lieu of the headlights. Great lights and I guess you'll be getting more?

Interested in hearing your thoughts on the 3 o'clock vs high noon.
