This is very interesting. What changes did you make besides VNX3? This is for the CFT90 correct?

VNX3 UI + New Buck Circuit Boosting to ~31A. V1 was ~ 20A.

Vinh, is there any chance you can put a wavien collar with an Aspheric lens on it? I heard it should double the throw. You might be able to get 4 MCD.

I just ordered 2 BLF GT couplers and 2 V2 battery carriers.

Hoping to put together a super long super thrower.

I am flooded with email asking which version I would prefer between V1 or V2.

For me its V1 with VNX3 UI. I love the flexibility of running the light on any number of cells. As a matter of fact I think V1 performance is excellent even on just 1 18650. However for those out there that wants peak performance and the best throw possible then V2 is the way to go. Both versions are available for order.

I agree with Newlumen. Today, I'll be mailing my first BLF GTvn90 back to you to upgrade to version 2.

I already have the short handle for the BLF GTvn. Can we take the BLF GTvn90 version 2, add a coupler, then the short handle, and use 12 protected cells in 3 modded 4S battery carriers?

Any versions of gtvn can run any number of handle ans carrier combo. Just make sure V1 lights takes V1 carrier only! Wrong move = EXPENSIVE repair.

Thanks, Vinh. Yes, putting a V2 4S battery carrier into a BLF GTvn V1 that uses a 4P carrier would fry something! Isn't 4S over 16 volts, while 4P is slightly over 4 volts?

Optimistically, we will always make the best of what we have and cheer on for a brighter future. ;-)

Would it make sense for you to buy a reel of the top bin CFT90 direct from Luminous? What is the minimum you need to buy? It should be a lot cheaper per emitter and you will be able to use it in many more smaller, more affordable lights instead of just in your flagship lights. It should also be much more efficient and maybe we can see 7,000+ lumens with the top bin in the GTvn?
