    Also do any of your samples have any kind of spring in the head as the literature inside the box claims it has? Mine did not come with a spring, just a flat contact point for the head to touch. I am wondering if this is part of my issue.

    The other is a nitecore 18650 that was taped to insure proper fit. I use that battery in other lights with no issues. From the little I know of flashlights, I dont see how this could be a battery issue.

    I believe its a 6000k as I remember reading that the 5000k will be released later. It does not say on the box which it is. It is surprisingly warm for a "cool" light.
