Victoria Police (Australia) Issue LED flashlight

Hi Auskipper, There are a small number of units which issue personal torches to their officers. We have supplied many units with Snipers and Defenders. Sometimes they are specialist units, like the dog squad which uses the Defender 260, sometimes a local area command experimenting with issuing...

Australian Dollar at a two year low

AP, to the best of my knowledge (though delighted to be proved wrong!) there are no flashlights being made any more in commercial quantities in Australia. Being based close to Asia we find we export minerals to our biggest trading partner (China) then buy them back as finished goods. This is...

Top 8 countries to use CPF

Good point Greta, maybe South Africa is some sort of hub. Being an island most Aussies connect through an AU ISP so didn't occur to me of using an ISP out of the country. Just odd as I notice the Aussies who post obviously, but also see a lot of Canadians & UK posters but rarely remember seeing...

Top 8 countries to use CPF

I was just doing a little research on putting another ad on CPF and the Alexa page was working (hadn't been able to access it from Aus for a year for some reason) and was surprised to see the top 8 countries to use CPF. United States41.3% South Africa14.8% Germany12.0% China6.2% India3.7%...

Australian Dollar at a two year low

It really is tough to buy anything from overseas at the moment, hit .63 cents this week, as everyone said our economy isn't as bad as the US but our exchange rate has suffered worse. I think the idea of sticking with mods for a little while is good, with luck our dollar may go up later in the year

Grabbed an M90 rattlesnake from eBay!

Further to Cernobila's comment about the LED tailcap, I left one running on a single cell 18650 Sniper from about 1000 Monday to 1600 Friday, 24hrs a day with no ill effects.

    Beamshot comparisons of 15 LED lights, Q2, Q5, R2, 5AQ2 and others.

Cernobila, that is a very impressive and informative comparison of beamshots. The tree on the right is well placed, it gives a good indication of the spill while the windows allow you to judge the intensity of the hotspot. :twothumbs

Led Lenser X21 or Wolf Eyes Boxer?

Hi the other Phil, been interstate and missed your post. Can see that London is a nice warm 4 degrees!

Led Lenser X21 or Wolf Eyes Boxer?

Morgo, slightly different lights. The Boxer is HID so slight warm up time but throws further. X21 is certainly powerful. A wolf Eyes multi LED in stock in Aus is the 1300 lumen Superstorm http://wolfeyes.com.au/superstorm-p-127.html Good luck in your choices Big Tennis Ball, have you...

Wolf Eyes Sniper 6v Tactical Light...

Oddjob, no problem on lighting up a target 60 yards away. Rechargeable batteries are much cheaper if you use your flashlight a lot or local cost of CR123 is high

    Sydney 2008 Get together

Guys I am going to withdraw from this and about 25% is weather related. My wife isn't feeling well and think I would be better served staying at home with her than being out till say 11pm. I have just called Cameron who I was taking and apologised, sorry I can't make it but think I would be...
