Do you sleep with a flashlight attached to yourself

A light with tailcap trits lives next to the alarm clock, so it's within easy reach. I've never considered wearing one while sleeping.

    The Malkoff Front Porch

Ya, I think you're right. The current E2 Super is definitely not the E2ST that I've had since it was first introduced. I actually like the lower lumen output of the old version, for the increased runtime. 900 lumens from such a small E2 Super head sure would be impressive, and I presume will...

    Mc Clicky

I've only had one McClicky failure in the well over 10 years I've been using them. All but a couple of my Z41s have them (all from Oveready), my Malkoffs have them, my Moddoolars have them, my Prometheans have them, etc. It and the Elzetta high/low are pretty much the only switches I ever use...

    The Malkoff Front Porch

Wow, the porch sure has been quiet lately. I just received a complete Arisaka 600 series weaponlight, with the E2HT head, It's too bad the E2 Super Throw head was discontinued. It delivers a great throw/spill combination for contact to 50 yard usage.

The battery bumper o-rings and the boot retainer rings are not the same. I've got a couple boots with rings in my spares stash, so my guess is that they're a standard product that can be ordered.

    EB1 vs E1 hyper throw?

According to the info in my Malkoff document, the 10,000 candela from the EB1 would compare closest to the old E1T. The E1HT's lux at 1 meter is spec'd at over double what the EB1 delivers.

Who would be in on a 100k to 150k group buy thrower?

It will depend on the size. If it's Hound Dog Super-sized, I'm not interested. If it's Hound Dog-sized or smaller, count me in.

HD Super vs E-Series Beam Shots

I won't even attempt to take outdoor beamshots. The Javelot, and a many other lights totally out throw the E2XT, but they don't fit into the palm of your hand. Size doesn't matter much in a handheld light, but it sure does when the light is mounted to a rifle. I need to compare the E1HT to...

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

How does it act when the tailcap isn't installed? If you connect the battery's negative contact to the body threads, it should immediately go to high. If it does anything wonky, then the tailcap isn't the cause......since it's not in the electrical circuit.

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

Good throw was something the Gen 1 lacked (for those that haven't used one). Are the optics the same for each generation?

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

I guess I missed the latest update to the Alpha. I wasn't expecting the output to be 535 continuous lumens from an IMR cell. I've had a Gen 1 Alpha since they were first released, and might need to try out the latest version. My guess is that an IMR cell is required to get the full output...

Elzetta AVS Upgrade (2021): Bravo and Charlie

I don’t know how easily that would be accomplished, due to the potting compound. Matching HA certainly isn’t required, but even without excessive OCD, it would annoy me to be that different.

    The Malkoff Front Porch

I did a run time test on low over a year ago. I'm not positive, but I think I stopped the test after 225 (or more) hours, and the cell was at 3.5 or 3.6 volts resting. My guess was that it would run for at least 300 hours. The run time is basically infinitely long for any real-time usage.

Either the current M31 drop-in or discontinued M30 series will work from a single AA cell in an MDC body.
