Amazon has the rayus c01 for $5.90 right now. With the option of a Nichia for the same price. Basically identical to the 1st version e05; single mode ~30 lumens for 3-4 hours runtime. Just got one of these too and the build quality seems nice. On par with lumintop and Olight. Close to fenix.
i have purchased that one from Amazon and it definitely has the Nichia. The seller is not lumintop, though so it may be a special run or mod. I unscrewed the pull from the head (not glued in on the tool) and if it is a mod, I sure can't tell.
Howdy!
im looking for a fenix LD01 R4 edition. I'd prefer one in like new condition. I may even like to pick up 2 of them. Let me know if you have any! Thanks!
I'd like to see that test! :)
The PWB in my E01 is not mounted perfectly straight, so one side near the edge has worn almost through the pad. I've been putting solder on it to stop it from wearing further, but I have to reapply about once a year (it is not an EDC light anymore).
I'm sure one...
The one thing I wonder about concerning the durability of these types of light are the circuit board pads used to make electrical contact. It seems like a true long term EDC usage scenario (unlike short duration abuse) could result in wearing out the pads from the twisty action.
I used to have a single mode eiger thAt I dropped a QTC square in. It was super hard to turn and compress the material. That made it hard to judge the smoothness of the ramp. It also made me worry about wearing out the threads due to the forces applied.
it seems like opinions are mixed on the...
Thanks. I've seen that before. So do you think the nichia is a similar runtime to say, 50%?
basically, I'm thinking of ordering one if I don't get any responses to my WTB thread, and I'm trying to decide between single mode or QTC.
