Ok, my LF 3-3.7v 3-mode drop-in arrived today. I compared it to my older P4 Wolf Eyes multimode drop-in with both running on AW 17670s fresh off the charger. Eric, the description does say it has memory. So if you prefer that the drop-in start in high mode I'm assuming you could just leave it on high every time you turn the light off. Why no high quality multimode P60 sized drop ins?
I've been happy with my multimode Wolf Eyes drop-in (haven't tried the Dereelights). That said, I agree 100% that Malkoff needs a high-low version to add to his line-up. I'd buy it without hesitation.- jbviau

As an alternative to switching heads you could also look into getting a tailcap (or a new drop-in) that gives you a low or medium mode for extended use.- jbviau

I have the same set-up. Most people say 10-15 minutes should be your upper limit for continuous usage. On Gene Malkoff's site, 15 minutes is listed as the max for one of his drop-ins in a G2, and his use brighter emitters (Q4 or Q5, I think). I've run my P4 in a G2 for 10 minutes before without...- jbviau

Is the Nitecore Smart PD D10/EX10 "ramping bug" fixed yet?
Yup, it was fixed for the whole "smart PD" line. 7777 confirmed it a few weeks ago in a different thread. I've still got my old EX10 and don't mind the ramping bug enough to upgrade.- jbviau
