    Best Light You've Ever/Never Owned

Best, most used light - an early original 3 speed, 300lm Prometheus Alpha with warm MC-E - great runtime and the best floody beam I’ve ever seen. Its been beat to hell and has the scars to prove it and it’s an ‘old’ light in 2022 but it’s been 100% reliable and gets used every day/night.🙂👍

    HDS Systems #23

Thanks guys but the website wants to charge me $75 USD for shipping to Australia for 1 tailcap rubber!

    HDS Systems #23

Hi, Does anyone know where I can source new HDS flat tailcap rubbers? As I was a HDS dealer at the time, Henry shipped me a few spares years ago but they’ve all split and gone to heaven. My last cap rubber is ready to split too. I sent HDS an email 2 years ago and didn’t get a response! Any...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Used my trusty early (3 speed only) Prometheus Alpha warm MCE light whilst working on my wife’s Camry in a dimly lit home garage. Replaced the lower control arms, front brake rotors and pads, the top engine stabilizer bar, engine oil and filter change and also replaced the worn out drivers’...

    The Malkoff Front Porch

Here are a couple of oldie Malkoff combos I find myself using regularly.😉 1. Old school round Surefire 6P with a hand engraved M61W / 18500 combo. 2. VME / hand engraved M31W (1st series with more of a ‘neutral tint’) with either VME AA body or VME CR123 lanyard body for a more pocket friendly...

    HDS Systems EDC #22

Henry kindly sent me a few spare tail cap rubber buttons for my Clicky a number of years ago and after slowly going through and replacing each one as they split, I’ve finally got cracks in my last one! Anyone else having this issue? I’ve avoided getting a Rotary due to the added difficulty in...

Current "Best" single AA light, favoring KISS and long runtimes over high output...

Re: Current "Best" single AA light, favoring KISS and long runtimes over high output My Jetbeam JET-1 MK I bought years ago is by far my most used light. It’s been through the washing machine at least a dozen times, been dropped etc and it still works great. It just loves chewing through my...

    When you've found The One

After collecting various lights since 2008, my go to pocket light turned out to be the cheapest one: Jetbeam JET- MK. 3 good light levels with memory, light weight and small, good clip, twisty reliability, nice beam and 14500 comparability for show off purposes. :-) Its pretty much the only...

    Malkoff Devices--User Programmable Flashlight

My perfect Malkoff light: Head tight-maximum output. Head loosened - low mode that has a programmable output level (24 output steps + 2 level strobe & SOS available). I personally would never use/need the strobe & SOS modes but some would find it handy). I’d like to be able to get into the...

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? I’m in for a AAA Malkoff for sure.

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

Wow, thanks for the info. I had no idea how small the new heads are. Although I miss out on a low mode and bezel ring, I think I still prefer the simple reliability of my old VME head / 1st release M31W (neutral tint) with either my CR123 or 2AA twisty bodies. Although the VME heads are bigger...

So are the MDC heads smaller and lighter than a VMA head/M31 combo?
