Pelican 1920 flickers on low but not high. Why would that be?

Unfortunate to hear. If it's two months old, have you tried contacting Pelican and seeing what they say? How often does it flicker? Like every one second? I'll look out for it on my brand new 1920.

    Pelican 1920 Gen 3 2xAAA: didn't immediately burn out with one 10440

Just curious if anyone else is happy with this light. I picked up a new Gen 3 Pelican 1920 yesterday to replace my 2014 Inova XP. Although a great light, the XP always had a firm momentary tailcap button requiring a lot of thumb pressure. The 1920's clickie tailcap is easy to use, and fast to...

SHOT Show 2017: Olight M1R, Jetbeam RRT0, WL-S1 still coming?

https://youtu.be/fnDWKHte8pw https://youtu.be/AUf1hX4gfvU At last January's SHOT, Olight and Jetbeam showed off some new interesting small EDC's. Does anyone have any news or updates on these lights? None of them seem to be released. I've tried finding info on all of them, but the only...

    Klarus XT1C EDC Review

I'm a little confused. In Outdoor mode, is the max brightness 400 instead of 700 lumens? Or is that only the case when using a primary CR123? Also, in Tactical mode, there is no instant access to Low? I would love to have instant access to High and Low, but not at the expensive of max lumens...

Klarus Mi7 size w/ tail switch?

Thanks for the rec. Read a CPF review on it, has four modes plus memory. A little more intricate than I'd like personally. I've also found cycling a single switch easier than dual switches or switch plus control ring.

Klarus Mi7 size w/ tail switch?

Just got my Klarus Mi7 Ti today and it's nearly the perfect light. Runs on 14500, thinner than CR123 lights, and instant access to High (one press), Low (long press), and Strobe (double press) from off. I love everything about it except the side switch. It's not fast to acquire, especially...

    Latest 2xAAA pen lights?

Thanks for the update. They don't really fit your needs, but I've been happy with the Pelican 1910/1920 and Inova XP.

    bent pocket clip removal help?

The dental tool I used as a lever behind the folded over part of the clip. The pliers I used on the clip portion itself and tried to pry it off. Both didn't work. I owned this since it was new in package, clip was on already, but it's not glued as you can spin it around the light's body...

    bent pocket clip removal help?

I have an Inova XP that was great until the pocket clip bent outwards, so it no longer has tension to clip to a pocket. I've tried using pliers and dental tools to pry it off and failed. It's a "snap-on" type pocket clip and seems to have incredible friction to stay on. Are there any other...

    Is this IMR battery unsafe/damaged?

Thanks guys, I'll recycle it. I'm forced to buy Efest 18350 cells locally though. I've had many problems trying to get cells shipped in to Canada. I don't know if it's Canada or the countries I'm buying from.

    Is this IMR battery unsafe/damaged?

I've been using two Efest 18350 IMR batteries in a mini box mod for a vape. One is fine, but the other has developed odd bumps below the purple battery wrapper. I don't believe these bumps were present when the battery was new (1-2 months ago). Is this battery safe? Should I stop using this...

2 classes of Christmas gift lights?

It's that time of year again! Christmas is a month away and I'm looking for two categories of gift lights: 1) <$2 "throw in" light. Something to spice up a small cookie gift bag that you would be giving to over 20 coworkers/distant friends. Going to use the $0.50 DX phauxton lights if no...

Pelican 1910 and 1920 AAA lights to get brighter and have dual modes

Yeah I have the same problems with the Inova XP but it still has enough positives for me that I rotate it almost 50/50 with the Pelican 1910. If you're buying the 1920 just keep in mind it's longer and thicker than the Inova XP. A great helpful CPF member took this photo:

Do any other lights use the Surefire two mode momentary switch?

After owning a SF LX2 and EB2 I really think this is the best switch design imaginable. Soft press and hold for momentary low, firm press and hold for momentary high. Twist on for constant low, twist further for constant high. This is great since it retains the ability to get to either mode...

Pelican 1910 and 1920 AAA lights to get brighter and have dual modes

For constant on high: twist the tail clockwise. For constant on low: twist on, twist off, then quickly twist on again. Operates just like a twisty light. My XP allows for very easy twisting and a low travel distance for the twist to on. For lockout (disabling the momentary button), twist a...
