I did a lot of research a couple years ago and ended up buying the P12GT for myself. I'm actually looking to get a good thrower for my wife now. Has the game changed much? I'm looking for a 18650 thrower, no larger than the Nitecore, up to $100.

The P12GT looks phenomenal, although longer than what I've been considering. Do you pocket carry? Clip or no?
I'd be willing to sacrifice some of that throw for a shorter light. But most great shorter lights ive found don't have the tail switch.

The ST-25 is looking good, but now I'm also considering some combos on Amazon that include battery rechargers:

I feel that this means I don't need to ONLY consider standard batteries.

-long throw (or adjustable with good throw and good flood)
-bright (he's only had flood-style maglites and cheap flashlights, so I'm thinking 300+ lumens
-AA or AAA batteries (multiple is fine)
-modes don't matter too mutch, but...
