    Agree with you on this, noboneshotdog. Maybe they'll create a replaceable version, then I'd be interested. This would be more for a stand-by/ emergency light. IMHO, of course.

    Apparently there's not a big demand for aluminum washers. So I ended up grinding down the clip retention ring a bit. All is well! Thanks again, everyone!

    "grind down the plastic on the clips to get them to fit, or slip a small aluminium sealing washer" grind down the plastic- was my 1st thought but the washer idea would be good, too. Thanks.
