    ZT-0350, BM-755, CS-AK47 ????

100% agree with this statement. 110% actually.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Regarding D2, it is a tricky steel to sharpen. The carbides are MASSIVE. It is not a fine grained steel like A2, 1095, the CPM variants etc. I have never recommended D2 as an initial primary investment in a good knife...

    ZT-0350, BM-755, CS-AK47 ????

I tried to stay out of this thread. I really did. I am going to offer some insight here FWIW. First off, "fighting" and "folder" are not a good mix. Anything that can fold back on you (I do not care how good the locking mechanism is...unless it is like a Barry Wood, it can fail) is never a good...

Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9N?

Awesome man. Let me know how it shakes out. I know I cannot budge mine by hand.

Knife & Light pics. (Identify your images!)

Re: Knife & Light pics. Is that the Military? That is one SEXY knife man. I love the framelock, G10/Titanium, and what's this? CPM M4?? I saw a steel chart on that steel. It is most definitely in the super steel category. Very VERY nice.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9N?

Al, I appreciate the time and advice. After further review of the situation, I am actually liking the Lexan lens just fine. :D Regards, Jeff

Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9N?

Re: Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9AN? My 9N is indeed lexan. If any of you good folk know who sells a glass lens, or who installs one, or any directions to taking this head apart so I can put one in myself, I am all ears. :D I am sorry for the confusion in my first post. I have a 9N.

    First decent knife suggestions

I have extensively reviewed many a fixed blade knife ranging from 2-12" in blade length. The Blind Horse Bushbaby gets my vote. While not a "traditional" drop point, it has enough belly for any skinning needs and a usable spearpoint if that is your thing. Excellent well made and thick sheath...

Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9N?

Re: Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9AN? Well, That's the actual trick here. I can "budge" the lens housing, but it takes every ounce of grip i have to get movement. I cannot dismantle it by hand. I have pegged "grip" meters in the past too... I may need to send it somewhere or to someone...

Anyone make a glass lens for SF 9N?

I am looking to replace the Lexan lens on my Surefire 9N. Does anyone make a glass lens for this light? I would appreciate any input. Jeff

Built me a ROP. Thanks FiveMega

Well you guys are just awesome. I cannot get it fully lit on the high pelican bulb, but after 4 or 5 fast presses on the low bulb, I can get it to stay on. My batteries are protected Ultrafires. Do I need to get different batteries? I would REALLY like to just click this thing once...

    Eating bugs to survive?

Yup! And they also sleep in a motel at night when the cameras are off.:crackup::crackup: Let me say that unless I have to, or unless I am PAID to, anything that wiggles that much, will not trickle down my throat unless it is at least dead and slightly cooked.:nana::D

    Sharpening system

I also did want to add to what you said regarding, and I quote you... "Straight razors are generally ground to end up with an edge angle of 12 to 18 degrees..... most somewhere in the middle, and this is of course useless for a knife, chisel or plane blade as the edge would just fold over...

    Interesting Video Finds Part 2

Allow me. Hot gal, pole dancing, furthering her routine with a sword kata. Ok, it may not be a kata, but it looks good. To the OP of this unmarked video link, you are just lucky it was a pretty brunette. :D

    Eating bugs to survive?

I have eaten locust/grasshoppers minus the legs and wings before. I hav also eaten ants and termites raw. I wouldn't eat a worm unless moderately cooked, no matter what they say that is it all good raw. Crayfish over a fire, while not part of this, are plentiful and REALLY freaking...
