At 3.75 Turbo S lit up for two minutes. At 3.68 Turbo would light up but would not achieve Turbo S.

Thanks for the info. This is pretty good news. When you start Turbo S while the rest voltage is 3.75V and keep it shining at 9K lumens for two full minutes, doesn't the rest voltage drop below 3.68? I guess two full minutes at Turbo S would require a huge battery consumption. IMHO, you may be mixing the outcomes of the thermal management circuit of the X7 with battery performance.

No scientist here. As far as I can see this thing can get red hot without thermal managing kicking in. So I run the light. Take out the batteries. Measure them, pop them back in. Go again.

OK. No problem. :D

Once the rest voltage is about 3.68V per cell, having to recharge the batteries in order to be able to enter Turbo S mode again or keeping up with "only" 5.5K lumens is no big deal, anyway. It is clear that with Samsung 30Q batteries, the X7 is an unparalleled performer.

Whilst it doesn't particularly concern me with a light like this, check out the off center LED's. Top is ok, bottom ones are off a good deal. I would be worried if it was a thrower.

Harro I've had the reflector out of an X7 and they don't use any centring discs. There are 3 screws holding down the led board, they fit into slots on the back of the reflector. Not a great way to line 3 leds up.

Not a very accurate way to centre

Gidday mjgixxer,
Actually, i got to thinking just after that post, if i could turn the reflector ever so slightly. It would put the good one out slightly, but bring the other two closer to centre, in relation to the reflector holes. Its probably 97% asthetic's and 3% effect with such a flooder though. If it was a thrower, you'd be right peeved off, but something like this isnt a real worry. Maybe they should do like Nitecore and a few others do, and mark the board with the led location, or just use centering discs. As you rightly say, slots are not particularly accurate.

:sigh:

That's exactly what I did. More specifically if you just turn the blue retaining ring ever so slightly to the left it will move the reflector dish to the left as well.

Have tried that, and yes it did work. All are acceptable, visually, now. Cheers.

MAGA, welcome to CPF. :welcome:

It is the same light ( you'll have to take my word for that ), pics just taken on a different surface.
Not perfect, but a lot better than it was.

Thank you for the welcome ! Looks great. I almost sent mine back until I adjusted the retaining ring.
The light is awesome. I am thoroughly enjoying mine and hope you are as well.
