I read that Amazon has banned 18650's and there are only precious few available on Ebay. Are they all going to electric cars? Is there a lithium shortage? Has another cell like 26650 supplanted the 18650?

My whole mobile world revolves around the 18650 :)

Whether it's due to supply, safe handling, fakes, shipping and return issues, or whatever, I don't know and can't say.
We can speculate 'til the cows come home, but I have seen this asked in different places several times over the past few years. A quick Google shows questions about such "shortages" in 2019, 2020, and 2021, so whatever the actual reason, it isn't a new thing.
Demand exceeding supply does make sense, though.
A quick check of Illumn and Zebralight's sites shows NCR18650GAs in stock, but at $8.50-9 rather than $6-7 like they were the last time I bought any.

18650's are readily available on Amazon.
I've tried searching Amazon for "18650" and I get rechargers and flashlights. Some do have 18650's bundled with them, but it's difficult to find just the batteries.
If you've been able to find decent 18650s there, can you post direct links?
Thanks

A quick search on the Internet immediately gives a lot of links, for example 2

Atlanta

By the way, there are a lot of reviews on the first site, I see that mainly lovers of powerful electronic cigarettes buy there
