3x123 vs 1x18650.

Admittedly, the latter is more useful about 90% of the time.

However, to get the most lumens, you need the highest voltage. 9p with can take either 2x18500 or 3x123, either one will be brighter.

The Hound Dog is brighter on 3x123 or 18500s versus 18650 HD.

9p is more user friendly. A larger area to grab.


Last but not least, if you travel, using li-ion is a pain. So much easier to use primaries. The hound dog loves primaries. Md4 is even better.

You know, there is a reason why we will always have primary 123 cells. Not to mention AA.
