I like the L30vn SST40 alot but I cant give this light an R...too bad the USB must be killed..there is no room for an aftermarket one even if i want to.

Stock UI is great too...arghhh...I guess this light is just best with 70.2 as designed.

What a nice light the L30vn is!

Hella yah...I thought it was much bigger than the S200c2vn but its just about the same but much better build quality.

XHP70.2 is really nice in this light too. Especially for the price but sorry I am a thrower guy so I let the 40 took the spot light LOL.

Well it is only 10k less cd for a 250 lumen loss, so throw wise the reflector does seem to be good.

Sorry for the "lazy question" but I'm working with uber slow internet! Do you have a link for the S200C2vn40 light? I'm assuming that's a S200C2 with an SST40? Have you tried a XHP35 HI in that light yet? Any thoughts on comparisons?

Just for info, that S200C2vn had a XM-L2 PDTc making 123k lux (Vinh measurement) and about 1550 emitter lumens, but only 1063 OTF lumens, so clearly losing a lot of lumens in the reflector. This is one of my all time favorite lights and I can't wait to get it back! Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread.

The 21700 is larger, but has less capacity of the 20700.
Is there a reason to use a lower capacity battery.
It depends on how hard you run the light. On moonlight or low, the extra capacity of the 20700 wins. Driven hard, the 21700 is much brighter and both about the same capacity.
Chart below is from HKJ.
