Anyone know where to get No. 6 post batterys or something comparable?

Hey guys im looking for a place to get No. 6 batteries. I bought another WWII Navy Battle Lantern and would like to get one but if I have to I'll use something else.

I have a number of these lanterns. The old #6 is available once again, do an internet search on EN6, HO6 or HO40. However, they are very, very expensive. I do make custom battery packs when needed, but for lights and lanterns taking one or two #6, I have found it easier and cheaper to simply use 2 plastic 2D or 2C cell battery holders from Radio Shack, and just connect the wires with wire connectors or electrical tape. The output of 2 packs will equal or surpass the amperage of the current #6. Here are some source links:
