Received my 6AA>2D adapter last night, and I see you have made some improvements over a previous model I also own. It now easily accommodates my slightly long Nosram 2700s. I have also noticed that the centre retainer is longer, thus providing more resistance to twisting caused by the tailcap.

All in all, a first-rate product. Congratulations FiveMega!


Now....to get my hands on some Eneloops....

The mailman just brought mine. Excellent! Thank you very much!

It seems all of my GP cells are too fat to fit into the adapters. But that's ok, I can use them in other lights and I was going to get some Eneloops anyway.

Also, as I was examining the 6AA adapter, my son (1 y.o.) came and grabbed the MOP reflector, and got his fingerprints all over it. Oh man... But entirely my own fault, of course. Luckily, I think I got it cleaned up without damaging the reflector surface.

Hi Fivemega,

I also received my 6AA holders today. They are just excellent! You are a genius :huh:

The holders fit nicely on Varta Ready2Use NiMHs, which are 14.18-14.24 mm in diameter.

Could someone who has done this check me out before I send my request to fivemega?

1. 6AA to 2 D adapter
2. Reflector
3. WA1111 bulb (x2)
4. Boro lense
5. Brass Bi-pin base

Besides purchasing a 2D M@glite, and Eneloops and a charger for them, is this all I need for that M@g85? Or do I need the WA1185 bulb? Would the 3D M@glite really rock with the WA1185? Would that burn to hot that it would noticably shorten the life of the bulb vs. the 2D flashlight? Lastly, and forgive me for being a noob to this, but is a true ROP with the Pelican bulb installed? That's what started all this, right?

Thanks for any advice and comments. I just need a place to start this, please tell me I am close to a good solid light.
