Sorry about that. You, along with 30% of the others, did not included their CPF handle anywhere so I had to guess from your e-mail adress and where you lived.

hi winny,
Please remove my name from line 14 in the list when you have a chance. My name is already shown somewhere near the bottom of the list.

Thank you,

Hi, Winny. Your regulator might be just what my bulbs need.
Question, can the PIR be made to fit into a PR-based light? Reason i'm asking is because i have a variety of potted WA bulbs that i'd like to use.

Thanks for everything,
benyosh

benyosh,

What is a PR-based light?
It's 30 mm in diameter with two 4 mm holes for mounting and it's roughly 10 mm thick. If it has to be smaller than they, it will be a problem.

PR based lamps are the regular drop in type like in a stock Maglight.

Ah! Thanks!

Well, as long as you have got a socket for it and enough room for the regulator, sure, it should work.

I don't have an idea at the moment how you should mod your flashlight if you are planing to use your stock holder and switch but there are probably several solutions depending on your needs and setup.

PayPal has been sent for another regulator (PIR 45V). Please send this one separately from the first one (PIR 30V) that I have already ordered from you.
Thanks.

General update:

Good and bad news everyone!

Our PCBs have arrived today! Whohoo!

They didn't look as cool as I did hope for, but still way cooler than the standard dull green. We ordered yellow text but got white...

The bad news is that I got my Kiu-sockets today and when I measured the depth of it, it was 7 mm rather than the 10 mm I hoped for. Furthermore, the cables from the lamp socket will take up more space (at least 2.3 mm) so there won't be much left for the regulator. I'm not sure how problematic it will be to assemble the PIR 1 into a Kiu-socket and attach it onto the stock Mag switch. Does anyone here has got any experience from the Kiu-sockets?

If someone find this unacceptable, we will gladly repay your money, no questions asked.

Winny,

Can you mark me down for loose LEDs and loose temp. sensor for all 4 of mine?

Thanks.

Sounds like we need someone to machine a 3-5mm ring with a lip in order to space the socket higher, but still keep it centered. I'm not too worried, if I can get my employees to work together, I'm sure I can get the PIR and Kui socket to get along.

Re: Programmable Incandescent Regulator 1 sign up-thread *accepting payments*

DFiorentino,

I hope I understood you right...
The problem is not getting the Kiu-socket and PIR to live together, it's making the switch to still fit. In my world, the stock switch is useless and melts too easily but some people want to use it, and I did insinuate in some way that it should fit in between. Perhaps that was what you meant.
If you ditch the stock switch and use something else, the PIR + Kiu combination is a winner. We need to figure out, or test how to make space for the regulator. It might just fit in as it is, if the switch is hollow enough.
