been thinking of these 2 lights, the convoy s2+ or this one

which would be the brighter floody type and sine i don't know the difference the 5000 and the 6500 type does this mean some sort of tint

Personally I prefer 5000K (neutral white), because I don't like cold, blueish light.

6500K will be subjectively brighter, all other things being equal. 5000K will be subjectively more pleasant.

The Convoy S2+ shouldn't be mistaken for a flood light, since it's got such a small reflector.

with a carlco optic would it still not be a floody light?.

Yes, you can do that if you a modder, but OP didn't mention that.

You can also get their M1/M2 lights with bigger reflectors and which aren't so much larger as to be EDC prohibitive.

Member VEN built Poppy and I a now defunct UK 3Tronics S2+ Triple with LD2 6A driver and Cree XP-L LEDs that 5 years back, put out 1600 floody lumens, but these are custom lights.

Mine lights up a swath 15m wide, at 40m.

A true blaster from a time when pocket blasters were rare.
