This is the sort of thing I was talking about treating myself to, Acebeam X70, 60,000 lumen.
http://www.acebeam.com/x70

Or sticking to the Coke can size I could go up to 32,500 with an X80-GT.

Wow, Jay - that's a lot of output - sunglasses might be necessary!

The way we managed to light up the Willen Peace Pagoda with lesser lights - I think I've attained my optimum output (Until I see your new torch!!!).

Peace Pagoda? WTH? See next post...

Tofty increasingly worried about the dominance of Pokemon Go from Remote and Blue (and me out of shot, but it was Shiny Wingull day)

But what about the torches, I imagine you saying, where are the bright lights, the life's blood of our obsession witnessed by our membership of this fine illuminated forum???

Well, this is it - the single shot I took of a torch the entire weekend (a Fenix LD15R by the way), magnetised to Tofty's car engine manifold)

Later on, thoughts turned to supper and we travelled several miles to the Navigation Inn in Cosgrove, on the Grand Union Canal

And that was that.

In between the pictures was laughter, chats, indulgence, exercise, sleep, coffee, tea and crumpets.

I have to say - what a lovely bunch of chaps.

Great weekend.

Let's do it all again soon.

Red Nitecore Tini's are £12.77 at Gearbest at the moment (plus whatever Quidco are doing as cash back). Looks like the aluminium ones have been discontinued and they have loads of red left in stock. Stocking fillers ?

Ok, I'm calling it. Meet at the Aquaduct let's say... 2nd or 9th of Feb? Pub to be decided. Andy, happy to pick you up on the way. We could start early and spend some time down by Brighton. Richard, we could even pick you up on the way to the pub if you want, visit the viaduct, drop you back off and I can drop Andy off in South or West London after.

Being a bit late, I'll say 'Seasons Greetings' instead :buddies:

Jay, thanks for the offer of the lift. As that would add an hour to your return journey (30 mins each way), I don't really think I can take you up on it, so either I get there myself or not.

About 99% that I won't be able to make the 9th, but the 2nd is looking quite good. It would be nice to make it to a meetup.

Happy to commit to the 2nd Feb.

Just a thought - we're gonna need wellies for the valley.

Was this the viaduct that appeared in tonight's ABC Murders on BBC1?

Now then, which pub do we want?

Also, anyone got anything new? I've got a couple of vintage lights and also a new Surefire Aviator in Amber.

Hoping for dry weather for the week before the meet up.

Happy New Year Chaps.

Remote, wouldn't want you to miss out, we can always put it off till 16th Feb if you can make it then? Everyone else ok with this date ? Or 23rd?

Andy, an extra hour in the company of friends is only a positive in my book. The offer stands if you want a lift.

I took a drive down to the viaduct yesterday. Parking is good for 4 cars on one side, another car on the other and there is another space a hundred meters down the road so we should be good in the evening. It's a short walk through a field to the top arch of the viaduct with a good view through the arches. The other arches are fenced off due to "Risk of falling masonry" but it is an easily stepped through wire if you were so inclined. Or just bring a step or box to step on and go through the arches which are about 4ft high. It looks like many people do. Viaduct is easily lit-upable from the side. There's nothing else to 'do' there so it would be a meet more like when we went to see the tank, mostly in the pub. No pubs within walking distance but some just short drive away.
