Here are views of a 6P-HA-BK (custom) in between a 6P-BK (factory) and a C2-HA (factory). In general, the custom finish is mostly matte with a softer feel, smoother shine, and different grain.

I've boosted image brightness to make comparisons easier:

Very nice. To me, it looks very similar to SF's factory HA, which is good for me since my lego will include mostly factory SF HA-BK anodized components.

The batch went in this week. Today was "strip the old finish off" day. Next up: HA bath time.

#3 - Z33 lanyard/ring black - $11
Worldwide - USPS Priority, $15
Shipping insurance, $3


But, the bulk all models off this first batch are already reserved.
When ready, I will post all reserved lights and give reservists a chance to claim them.
After that, all remaining lights will be added for general consumption

We've developed the logistics and are trying them out with a bore service:

To start, they would have to be our standard models (C/P/Z), in BK (type II) only.

The eagle has landed. You can see everything, including the special bezels along the back. The shine at the tail end of all the bodies is polishing to reveal bare metal for connectivity. The 2nd two images are polish closeups of a Z2 top and bottom:
