Also, would you like to plan 2x26650 body? if not, I may use 3x26500 body with spacers^^

I think 2x26650 will be too long for 2 cell operation and if you want to use in 3x26500 body, a 20mm spacer will work.

Each IMR 26500 is about 50mm long and 3x26500 flashlight has space of 150mm long battery.

Two of 26650 will take about 130mm space out of 150mm so you will end up with 20mm extra space.

3x26500 is already in long side of tail switch system and 3x26650 will not be practical and comfortable to hold and use.

Since these 36mm reflectors are deeper than most other D36 lamp modules and I haven't test them with other non FM hosts, I cant guarantee they will fit or work in other hosts.

3x26500 FM host pictured in first post of this thread will accept these custom D36 module as well as many other D36 lamp/LED modules.

Can we see pictures of this D36 socket/reflector? Maybe dimensions? There is quite a bit of room in the Z46 bezel. These are nice bodies but won't fit my belt / speed holster like the M3 will.

Are the D36 bodies the same as the D26 ones, diameter wise? ie, are they interchangeable to various heads?

Body barrel diameter is exactly same with same knurling and machining pattern. They are NOT interchangeable and one can not work instead of the other one. Tail caps are identical.
D26 lamp module can fit inside body neck of any $urefire C head such as 9P C2 as well as this body and all it needs to hold is a bezel. No head is required, existed and available.
A D36 lamp module will not fit in any $urefire C head unless it has a head to accomodate a module and a bezel to hold lens and module in place.
This D36 body has built in head (non removeable) to accomodate a D36 module and comes with bezel and Borofloat lens.

For any interested in 26650 batteries from battery space...

They have been out of stock for a couple weeks now. I emailed them about this and got a response from sales. Basically they will have new stock within two weeks and they plan to offer this product regularly.

It would be nice if AW would do a 26650 run but my understanding is there hasn't been enough interest (i.e. how many pieces could AW sell) to justify doing it thus far. There is a thread on this topic someplace. You end up with a circular chicken or egg argument - if there were more 26650 hosts, people would buy more batteries, but there are no batteries, so people don't buy hosts. Round the mountain we go

IMHO 1x26650 is an awesome format that gives you more juice than an 18650 while not puffing up the footprint too much.

ahh I was about to order one of these in a 2x26500 body, for axial in a D36..:candle:I forgot its one or three cells only in this thread:laughing:..I could get an exotic mag 2x body, but it has no head!

Maybe Ill buy a 3 cell version with D36 for the fun of it..

Im gonna have to buy one of everything you make from now on like a few others around here....
